very good track. lots of different noises. Very dark and
brooding piece. The only thing i didn't like was the way
everything starts out because you could predict when thing
came in and you could hear when the loops start/stopped.

I love that background melody, sounds like a µ-ziq synth.
Hmmm yes... µ-ziq/autechre/gridlock/lexaunculpt mixture
going on throughout. Decent outro, nice and quiet yet lush.

theres a lot of subtety in the percussion which im picking
up thanks to 12 hours sleep.. noice deep fried harmonies..
yeah this is all style! gets mad after 300.. without being
overdone :) nice balance there shane warne :D

This is an awesome track. Some great sounds and a killer
pace. Sort of industrial and yes, I reckon there's elements
of m-ziq too (just spotted weatheredstoner thought the
same). You really chose the wrong time to post if though
bro! :)

I reckon you should bump it again in acouple of days time.
Merry Christmas by the Way.

He did used to do NIN type stuff years and years ago and you
can probably hear its influence in the track.

the oldest xanpha i've listened to is from maybe 2-3 years
ago when it was plucked strings and soft ambient, that sort
of thing.

I mean years ago- like when he was about 15 :) The earliest
stuff he has online is ambient type stuff.

something im particularly proud of in this track, and
something i should have also credited...

in that beginning industrial loop with the guitars and the
metal... is actually looped from a death metal track i
wrote. Guitars by Greg Buchanski who you may know from my
Lacerblade project.

There is a lot of this track I really like... a very
interesting mix of styles. Personally I would have liked
the ae style granulation to be a little more developed. I
am having a few sound problems at the moment, so this may
not be the case, put I just felt that the percussion was
maybe drowned out a little too much partly by the synths but
mostly by the repeating guitar(?) sample.

Maybe that is just because I see electronic music
differently to other types in that, for me, the percussion
is the driving element with the synths and melodies there
just to add texture mood and warmth.

It's a good track all the same, and I am looking forward to
this album.

thankyou, the drums did get lost in the mastering... which
im a little upset about, and also for some reason he fealt
the beats should not only be really deep in the mix, but it
would fade out 2 minutes early. and theres a melody
missing... well not missing... its just so... hidden.

That's what I thought...sounds as though it has been
mastered by somebody more into rock or pop music than
electronic because the levels etc. on the sounds seem to
have been done according to that scheme, where as in the
past you have pretty much had stuff spot on :D

I'd like to listen to it but I have to contribute to the
legendary "the contents of each post is its position in the
thread" thread.

some industrial protest against the war... its all
australian artists... i got involved in it through the
industrial band im in "institute of reason" my track is the
last track... after talking to the producer of the
compilation i got the impression that my track is a being
included as the final track like "a freak track to confuse
people" as he put it...

well the rest of it is "thud thud fuck god" industrial...
which i hate...
