A work of Genius, yes? I just got this and it gets better
with every listen (as opposed to most other 'silly' albums,
that are funny once and are useless afterwards).

Senior Coconut is Atomtm doing cover music in latin
style. His last album under the name Senior Coconut was all
kraftwerk covers. This one is all covers of classic 70s and
80s hits. There are two covers of smoke on the water on this
album, one in english and one in (I think) spanish.

i heard his cover of deep purple's smoke on the water
when i was sent akufen's new fabric mix.
i thought it was pretty boring.
not particularly good. and not particularly funny.
i felt it let the whole akufen cd down.

i've heard a lot of good things about coconut though.
i guess i'll get round to hearing the album at some point,
see what all the fuss is about.

some of his stuff is ok but some is really good. you gotta
sift through the tracks to find the ones you like.

Fiesta Songs sounds just like more of the same to me. The
first two Señor Coconut albums are much more exciting.
Fiesta Songs is the only Coconut album not released on
Rather Interesting ... so I guess that's saying something...
