I heard an analogue (jazz instruments maybe?) version of
Flim on NPR between segments. Is the melody from Flim
borrowed somewhere? Or is this actually a cover of Flim?

hmm, i heard a version of Flim on a Newgrounds flash movie.

underwater through an echo

That is a cover of flim. Most likely from "The Bad Plus."
They also have a great version of Smells like teen spirit.

Yep, that's from Captain Marmalade's Untitled Blue... his
version of Flim ROCKS! He does NOT take enough credit for
doing that (it's a remix he did himself).

I've seen a car with an aphex twin sticker on it, but never
overheard someone else listening to aphex twin.

Flim was on Swedish telly not that long ago. It was on UR
(Utbildningsradion). I could be wrong here, but it was about
foreigners here in Sweden, who need their kids to translate
for them.

There was this 9-10yo boy who had to translate for her
mother almost everywhere. It was kinda funny because he had
the patience of a typical nintendo-kid and half the shit
that was said got lost between the mother and his little
sister's teacher.

putting a track through a filter and then looping it isn't a
remix

unless you go by the name of V/VM

On the preliminary tracklisting posted in NME it was called
Jynweythek Ylow, but on the final album the Ylow was
dropped.

And I would like to appologise. After about four years of
owning, listening to and reading Come to Daddy, I have never
noticed it being called Flim. I always thought it was Film.
I must be dyslexic or stupid or something.
