Check it out

I strongly urge you to check this list out...it includes
some great releases, and I'm sure more than a few that I've
missed this year. Trust me, I was kicking myself for some
of the stuff i missed LAST year that I had to hunt down this
year with great difficulty.

Anyhow, I definitely agree with Claro Intelecto's Peace of
Mind EP being #1. Just look at those recommendations: Ola,
Rob Hollaway of Bitstream, Simon Tonkinson
of Baked Goods distribution, even Rob Hall loves it.

Lots of good stuff on these lists -- I love looking at
everyone's top ten.

It's official I live in the third world. I found this info
on the 'postage and packaging costs' page of boomkat:

"Dear French Customers (that's me). Due to a large number of
packages sent to France going missing, we can ONLY send out
packages to your country via an internationally recorded
method. All packages to France will from now on incur a
£3.30 surcharge to cover the cost of this special delivery
method.

Thanks,

Boomkat Team."

I don't care I can find those records in my home town. I
just picked up the xanopticon at my local FNAC ( large store
with all pop+r&b crap + indy rock + tvs + computers + books
).
And the hecate vs lustmore in my supermarket (no kidding
here / also it was very surprising). Don't need to say that
all warp is widely available / never had to order online
warp, rephlex on mu.

The postal service is very good - it's a public service.
Once again a plot against France coming from Albion...

I just wanted the T-shirt but 18 £ it's expensive.
Especially when you realize that no-one will pay attention
to your extreme coolness of having a t-shirt of one of the
best online shops for lectronic music. Well the girls will
like the kitty obviously.

Claro was one of my favorite releases of the year as well.
Sure its fairly electro, lots of 808 & 303 but it is put
together and produced very well. I was glad to see not a
lot of warp stuff on the list cause most of warps output
this year was pretty boring.

claro sounds too bland for my musical palette, but if it was
a dished served to me on accident, i probably wouldn't speak
up to have it sent back, i'd eat it just being glad to cure
a hunger pang.
