I've said this before but.......

Mums are amazing!!! I love the way they fold your socks in
that special way so they just slip on.

why do British people call MOM's (the right word) MUM's (the
wrong word)? In Canada (Newfoundland at least) mum is
another word used for a booger... you British people are so
disrespectful!

and i suppose colour doesnt have a u in it either? and games
where you throw balls with your hands are called 'football'?

colour is awesxome !! im all in for it, as for the sport,
the egg shapped brown ball is called FOOTBALL and the round
white and black ball is called SOCCER and there is a version
of FOOTBALL called Austrailian rRRules Football, which looks
to be acceptable

My mum is great, she's starting to get a bit daffy in her
old age though... I can see her being a "troublesome" old
woman :/

Funkmaster: A lot of Welsh people and northerners use "Mam"
instead of Mum.

What is a "soccer mom"?

your typical middle aged woman with kids, who drives a
van... the term comes from the fact that they are usually
driving their kids to soccer games, and picking them up...

I think in Canada they refer to them as hockey moms, cause
hockey is more prevalent...

middle class trophy wife types who drive 4x4 SUVs, play
soccer (football) and are involved in their kid's sports.
They also have a reputation for being rather lax with their
discipline and giving "time outs" rather than a clip round
the ear to badly behaved children.

Why do women have to be defined in terms of being "soccer
moms"? Or even mums in general? You are all oppressors of
the women.

me
