Monolake better since Gerhard Behles out?

For me Momentum, Cinemascope and Gravity are far superior
to the stuff Monolake were doing as a duo. What do you good
people think?

I really didn't follow too closely so this is news to me. I
didn't actually know anything had changed. I really enjoyed
"interstate" as it was my first time hearing them.

"cimeascope" is my favorite amongst all their releases.

I think Behles left just before Gravity , but is credited
with production work on it. He then went of to develop music
software for live performances I believe. Think Gravity is
my fave but momentum is getting plenty of play at the
moment.

I dunno, Interstate is my favorite from the 'Lake. Momentum
is right up there though. Six of one, half dozen of the
other, I guess.

I didn't listen to their earlier stuff closely
but momentum was more gripping and spontaneous than usual
ambient stuffs. I definately want to hear more from
them/him.

Check gravity and cinemascope if you like Momentum, belagio.
For me interstate is a bit more obvious and sounds a little
dated now.

I've been trying to get some monolake stuff recently. If I
had to buy one what would you recommend?

Cinemascope is probably the most accessible- but like all
Monolake albums (post Behles, anyway) they really evolve-
over the course of each track and on each listen to the
album. Momentum is the most recent release and will be the
easiest to get your hands on and its a damn fine record. I'd
get that first and then track down Gravity and Cinemascope.

I'll try and do that. I haven't seen any releases in record
stores here, which pisses me off a bit. Guess I'll have to
order it from amazon or something.
I've heard some good things about Gravity.
