Some tunes by polcXd

Salvador from _ on 2001-11-30 23:26 [#00057218]

Just finished uploading some songs on mp3.com -
www.mp3.com/polcXd -

Feedback would be much appreciated: perhaps most suitable
listens are:
Ervall and Deshton ??

i like the old-skool drum machine work in these pieces...i
think the best one is Cimu...on the first track, you should
make the melody a tad louder...the loudness of the drums
sorta ruins it..but the track has got potential..

Cheers .. Will see if I can do something with the levels, -
yeah .. the melody is a bit too hidden :I

You have nice stuff IMO. You have the cut/copy/paste choppy
squarepusherish beats down well as shown in ervall and nice
melodies throughout. My main suggestion would be finding
ways to create more and more detail, have it go in a
specific direction more and more vividly.

Cheers!!

I think I hear you .. its a thing I have come to realise
with the music making thing (perhaps I am misunderstanding?)
- i find, or used find - it hard to let go of 'nice' ideas
and develop them fully in the fear of losing it (which is
quite stupid really when its all down on the sequencer) -
and so I very much appreciate the complexity thing ... a
thing I am quite conscienscious of but also think am
gradually (very gradually) developing. Guess only time will
tell. :)

Just resurrecting this thread in the hope that some of them
Canadians could take a listen - and perhaps comment?

Ofcourse, if you aint from Canada, you're more than welcome
to do the same on:

www.mp3.com/polcXd
