i was out checkin q-bert the other night and the warm-up dj
dropped this tune...i know it, but cant remember it...i
think its kinda old..
it has a chorus with "tryin real hard to not blow my cover"

also.....tell us what hip-hop you've been checkin
recently..
i've been checkin the new Jaylib album as it is totally
untouchable and i've also been checkin some company flow for
old times sake..

Liam Howlett uses that track on "Prodigy Presents - The Dirt
Chamber Sessions"... I know the one you mean, but I can't
for the life of me remember who it is who sings it.

Other hip hop I've been listening to a lot recently: Q-bert
& Automator -Bear Witness III, Kid Koala - Some of my Best
Friends are DJs, X-ecutioners - Built from Scratch

It's on one of the 'Rebirth of Cool' comps. It's on either
Volume 4 or 5 of the US edition methinks.

yes jaylib is fantastic.. madlib is a genius. i am so
excited madvillain.

i've been listening to as much mf doom as is humanly
possible (as usual), also a lot of madlib related stuff like
lootpack and and peanut butter wolf.

also "nobs - typical hip hop shit" and the usual anticon
shit

though its not necessarily hip-hop, i got kenna's cd
finally, and chad hugo's production on it is AWESOME. some
of the stuff sounds real out-of-the-box, but in this album's
case, it works for me. the beats though... HARD bass kicks,
CRUNCHING snares... yummy.

mentioning the dirt chamber sessions makes me think: beastie
boys, kool keith, ultramagnetic mcs, and public enemy. so
maybe one of them??
