Dirtypriest from Denmark on 2001-11-30 15:26 [#00057074]

æøå?

æöä?

Netlon Sentinel from yurp on 2001-11-30 16:18 [#00057090]

yeah those! and the symbols for the "th" sounds.

ps sorry for the typo

Phobiazero from Sweden on 2001-12-01 13:14 [#00057327]

"th" sounds?

Röyksoppen from Norway on 2001-12-01 13:30 [#00057328]

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzæøå

Netlon Sentinel from yurp on 2001-12-01 13:54 [#00057329]

i mean the symbol that looks like a 6 but mirrored and with
a line through the upper part..... and the symbol that looks
like a 0 but with a horizontal line in the middle. those
are scandinavian symbols, right? i thought they were
icelandic.

anyway, if you have the font, please e-mail it to me.

thanks!

surrounded by demons from neverland on 2001-12-01 18:04 [#00057345]

that is no special font. Those symbols are incluced in
(almost) every existing font. I believe the asci-codes are:

alt + 134 = å
alt + 145 = æ
alt + 155 = ø

and of course:

alt + 143 = Ã…
alt + 146 = Æ
alt + 157 = Ø

(you have to type the numbers with the part of your keyboard
that's like

789
456
123
0

though, if you use the 1234567890 above the letters these
codes won't work :-P

ð-alt+0240
I believe that's the character you're looking for it makes
the "th" sound in icelandic.

Les Yper from Stockholm on 2001-12-01 19:24 [#00057349]

There are no "th"-sounds in swedish. And when the spaceship
beams you up boy, get drunk fast. Au revoir.

Post twice you idiot, I didn't hear you the first time.

Dirtypriest from Denmark on 2001-12-01 20:26 [#00057361]

And if you wonder what it sounds like

Æ/Ä= like the "E" in "Hen"

Ø/Ö= I cant think of an english word that uses a sound
like it! like dj ötzi perhaps?! i dunno

Ã¥= like saying "oh!" (the "O"

Fresch from Trondheim, Norway on 2001-12-01 23:36 [#00057415]

the "ø"-sound is heard in "low" (the o)...but only in RP
(oxford english,that sort of accent)

Gonzola from stockholm on 2001-12-02 00:53 [#00057421]

the 'ö' is pronounced like the 'e' in "herb". the 'å' is
pronounced like the 'au' in "caustic"
the 'ä' is pronouced like the 'a' in "cash"

cåstic cäsh n' hörb

.PEACE

Dirty Priest from Denmark on 2001-12-02 11:38 [#00057505]

I dunno about caustic?!

Gonzola from stockholm on 2001-12-02 12:01 [#00057510]

i think that's as close as you can get to 'Ã…' in english.

Ã…techre

Les Yper from Stockholm on 2001-12-02 16:13 [#00057530]

Ophecks, I like the way you call me idiot, kind of sexy.
Although I didn't post twice. Am I the only one with this
duplicate problem?

well mental language

Dirtypriest from Denmark on 2001-12-03 15:49 [#00057766]

I think you´re reffering to "Rød grød med fløde".

something danish people make foreners say, because its
totally impossible for them.

i guess it could be written like this.

raauueed graueod med ("E" like enter, soft "d") Floeaude.

Gonzola from stockholm on 2001-12-03 21:39 [#00057849]

still don't understand shite, while they understand
