i don't think that will happen because he loves it too
much...
but anyway i was thinking about this while listening to one
of his live sets...i really think not one musician comes
close to what he's able to do with sounds...well there are
many other gifted musicians in other genres (jazz, pop,
rock...), but there isnt one that would come close to
afx...i love many of them dont get me wrong, but afx is
still years (in terms of music) ahead of everyone, which is
really sad...we can feel really lucky to be living in the
same time with him, and luckly he's still quite young so
there are many exciting years to come, at least i hope
so...
im sure many of you will start listing people that you think
are equal to afx, but in that case you're not that familliar
with his stuff (his records and his live stuff) or you just
dont dig what he's doing.

I'm much more worried about Aphex buying a surplus particle
accelerator and creating a microscopic black hole that would
fall to the earth's core and slowly consume the planet from
within.

i'd like it if he made some new music, similar to the piano
pieces of drukqs or druqks, however you spell it, but then
put in some his semi-older type of beats.. not mainly just
the kinda retro sounding stuff minced to shreds.... i'd like
to hear a more cohesive sound which is similar to drukqs but
more homogenized.. i get the feeling from listening to that
album that it is just a precursor to much greater things..
i know you are reading this, rich,
now get to work!

what if afx stops making/playing music??

Then I guess he'll have to go back on his personal statement
to make music all the time and never get a job...

;)
