when to stone your whole family!

it's hilarious ^^
(though frightening, if it's really in the bible... as well
as other scandalous "laws" here, "homosexuality",
"following your own moral compass", "religious tolerance"
etc... damn - if you want a reason to be against the bible,
just have a look!! it's utterly horrible.)

He he, in a dream I had last week these three witches were
doing something evil and started torturing me when I tried
to kill one of them to stop whatever it was they were doing.
They said, "We're only following our religion" and I said,
"Well, I'm only following mine- 'You shall not tolerate a
witch to live'"...

Strange because in the dream there was a "good witch" on my
side and I didn't try to kill her (I should have, she was
asm uch use as a hole in the head and sat there in a trance
and completely failed to prevent the torture). She was
probably part of their plan, manipulative bloody pagans! :P

the bible, of course, is not to be taken literally, as far
as I've been taught.

the bible shouldn't be taken litterally or seriously.

bible should be taken with a couple of asprins and a shot of
whiskey....

as far as a choice for bedtime stories for children....if
the kids didn't turn into habitual bedwetters and basket
cases..they turned into megalomaniacs..

the bible should be taken as a part of a well-balanced diet
of canonical western literature.

the bible should be taken with a healthy dose of lighter
fluid.

the bible can be taken for all these things, but the Koran.
OOOh, don't say that. Muslims are still hip with the
liberal left. Just an observation. Most religions are
thousands of years old and don't overlap well with current
standards.

The bible was definitely a good invention and served it's
purpose. I'm sure if there were no sense of god like
punishment back in the day of horses and no electricity, we
probably wouldn't be here.

Yeah sure a few witches got burned but that is hardly
anything compared to what could have been world wide rape
and plunder.

I'm not a church goer of any type but I just find it way to
easy to say "Fuck the bible" or "Fuck god".

If you don't like being told how to act in fear of being
socially damned then why are you sporting a slayer shirt or
Manson shirt and why wouldn't you be caught dead listening
to Sync or Backstreet boys?

Kochlear this has nothing to do with your post BTW, this is
just all IMO.

however, I find, the bible, and MOST holy religious
scriptures, offer a very good outline of how to live your
life.

the MAJORITY of the lessons are to do good for others, turn
the other cheeck, respect, and etc.

This is a common amongst most religious texts, but not lost
in the bible either. It is not to be taken literal,
although there are people who interperate it that way, it's
story, much like any other book, and it teachs good lessons
IMO.

personally i don't have a problem with it if people could
mind their own business. but i got it shoved down my throat
by fellow fucking classmates in high school, stupid hick
town. plus, jesus is doing way too much legislating for
someone who doesn't exist. i don't like that at all.

"jesus is doing way too much legislating for someone who
doesn't exist. i don't like that at all."

Yeah I feel the same way. I don't see how the U.S. can not
be called hypocritical as a nation that supports all
religions (or lack thereof) but makes it's big decisions
always "in the name of God."

this is true ofcourse.

sadly a large group of people also think it is true, simply
because it has been printed and became a book.

the bible should be taken however you want to take it...
just don't throw it in other peoples faces if they don't
want you to...

But it's a heavy book- ideal for throwing at people if you
can't find a phone book ;)
