How does it cost a CD in your Country?

I think in Italy, they are very expensive and I'd like to
know the CD price in your country.

In Italy, we have to pay about 19 dollars for a normal CD.

Today, for SAWII, I paid about 37 dollars.

Isn't it expensive?

most albums are around 40-50 guilders
and 12' are about 15-25 guilders

so about £12 for an album
and £5 for a 12'
still too fuckin exspensive!!!!

The average price in Germany is from 30-40 DM. (about 15-20
$).

But for Double-CDs like SAWII you pay about 50 DM! (25$)

Netlon Sentinel from beyond on 2001-04-24 20:16 [#00004448]

hey i thought germany was cheaper than holland!

btw, sawI costs 25 guilders at plato these days. i paid 11
pounds for it when i was in london, dammit.

Here in Canada CD's can cost from about $20.000-$50.00.

The CDs that I buy (usually electronic stuff like Richard,
AE and BOC) thoes cost about 30.00.

I bough BOC's Music Has the Right to Children and
Squarepusher's Big Loada on Sunday (both are really good
albums!). BOC cost me about $26.00 and Squarepusher cost me
about $24.00.

Aron: where abouts in Canada? Im from edmonton alberta.
Yeah... cds here are roughly the same price! I went to
purcahse SAWII and it was like 36 dollars.... that sucks.
Most of the stuff I listen to.. which is a long list of
great artists, is expensive... since alot of the CDs are
"Imports" from wherever, then they jack up the damn price!
In short:

CANADIAN MUSIC STORES RIP YOU OFF!

Unless ofcourse your buying something like Ricky Martin, or
Something in the Top 40 charts on Much Music.... well
[puking...] then its like 15 bucks. :[

i'm soo happy to know people working in records shops....
get them sheaper that way.... otherweise they would be too
expensive...

[REFLEX] from Canada on 2001-04-24 21:34 [#00004465]

spektr: I used to work in a record shop.. i got loads of
deals. then they fired me for many many reasons... :~[

REPHLEX, I live in Saskatchewawn. I totally agree with you,
canadian stores do rip you off, everything people like us
buy is all import like you said. I mostly do all my CD
shopping at A&B Sound, they have OK prices I guess, and they
probally have the best electronic slection in my town
(sakatoon).

Ross from can. on 2001-04-24 23:56 [#00004492]

This girl who i know from hmv is willing to pick up stuff
for me downtown for up to 10 dollars cheaper..I really
appreciate that, because i use to pay 25-27 plus tax for
anything that they don't play on tv much (a lot of
electronic, pj harvey, etc)

[REFLEX] from Canada on 2001-04-25 00:47 [#00004495]

im sure for most canadians A&b sound has the best quality..
we have a few of them in edmonton.. there is a huge
motherfuckin one here.. it was tons of good IDM and IDM
related artists.. so.. but still its still expesive. even
though its the cheapest around.

Ross from can. on 2001-04-25 01:10 [#00004498]

your right reflex..a&b sound has a nice selection

Ross from can. on 2001-04-25 01:10 [#00004499]

plus, oddly the first time i went there the guy that helped
me out was a HUGE aphex twin, boc, autechre, warp,
ninjatune, squarepusher fan..he was like 'wow, this is so
cool someone else likes it..i can never really find people
around here that do"

[REFLEX] from Canada on 2001-04-25 01:18 [#00004500]

yeah.. i know what you mean.. i knew this one girl who used
to work at that BIG ASSED a&b here in edmonton.. and she was
moreinto like KMFDM and stuff.. [which i like] but she
totally dug AFX and such.... it was cool.. she actually
ordered me SAWI for CHEAP!. .. but I got it stolen....
later... :[
