I have 2 copies of this. Has 3 afx tracks - those 2 plus
blue calx (which later appeared on SAW2). But also has
amazing tracks by Mayday (remix of neuropolitique) and Kirk
degiorgio and 2 awesome tracks by Ed Plaid (as Balil).

I have one. paid 95 dollars on ebay for it. well worth it
though. mint condition. guy through in some nifty extra too.

as a side note, i also paid 160 for a mint powerpill pac man
cd. i remember you guys had this huge thread about the
"moron" that bought it for that much.
and a year, i'm finally ready to admit it was me.
of course i didnt want to spend that much, it's just it was
the only one on, i wanted really bad, and the jack ass that
was bidding against me seemed like he was just fucking
around. the seller was some guy in UK that was completely
astounded. he offered to sell it to me for 50 bucks cheaper.
i refused. it's only fair.

So there you have it. have your fun now.

I remember i think Joyrex started the thread.

I also own this CD... paid about $100 on ebay for it. It's
excellent, and not just for the rare RDJ.

A legendary compilation! I WANT IT SO BAAAD!

I do have the double cd "Objects D'Art 92::95" which is
almost as legendary as Philosophy

Check out the tracklisting:

disc 1:
- future/past: clinically inclined (remix)
- as one: amalia
- balil: whirling of spirits
- balil: choke and fly
- psyche: neurotic behavior
- psyche: how the west was won
- b.f.c.: chicken noodle soup
- b.f.c.: sleep
- esoterik: exteriors
- esoterik: locator

disc 2:
- phenomyna: into the otherworld (black dog mix)
- phenomyna: earthfall (nuron mix)
- phenomyna: got the urge (stasis mix)
- elegy: ensemble
- elegy: tone poem
- esoterik: kwaidan
- elegy: \p switch
- redcell: climatic calm

(Psyche and b.f.c. is Carl Craig - Balil is Black Dog -
Future/past and elegy is as one is Kirk Degiorgio)

Man....I wish I had this CD, I always go and look at it
every so often over at discogs. Soooo many good songs and
artists on it. Just last night I got my hands on
"phenomyna: earthfall (nuron mix)" from the ART. 5.1
release. That song is damn good! I think I'm going to make
a thread about how good that song is.

(Co-existence - Balil is just Ed Handley, not The Black Dog
collective of Handley, Turner, and Downie.)

phenomyna is Steve Pickton aka Stasis.

Sooooo many good songs on that release.

Personally....I think "Objets D'art 92::95 " is a better
compilation then "The Philosophy of Sound and Machine." The
ART label is WAY underrated.

That is because this label is soooo rare, there are only
1000 copies of each early release in existance. You are in
right, these early works needs a wider attention
