Anyone familiar with Behringer audio mixers? I seen some on
offer here in Bergen... Are they any good?

They're one of the most popular choices for small studio
mixers (8 channels or so) and those seem to be pretty good.
I'm considering getting one myself some time next year.
However, I'm not a fan of their DJing line of mixers, the
layout tends to be pretty cluttered and they feel a bit
cheap (which they are).

What sort are you looking at, a studio one for linking
several audio outputs or a DJing one?

A studio one, so that sounds rather good! Thanx for the
input...

We've got a small, four-track (two mic/mono and two stereo)
one. And for the price we bought it, we are very satisfied.

Litt vel over mitt budsjett for tiden, men takk for tipset!

I have the Behringer UB1002 - it's a great little mixer for
my keyboard, mic and guitar. If you turn up the gain on any
channel too much though you'll hear some hiss. I haven't had
to pump up anything enough for it to be a problem. It could
be a pain if you want to pump up an especially quiet source.
Aside from that no complaints.

My apologies if I am reiterating something already stated in
Norwegian, which I cannot read.

I use an MX2642. It's unbelievable how cheap it is compared
to a Mackie with the same specs. It's about a third of the
Mackie price.

as of tonight, i'll be getting a boss bx16 16 channel mixer.
compact and really light weight. last mixer i owned was a
tascam 424 MKII, which was a 4-track recorder with 6 inputs
and you could record stuff onto a standard cassette tape,
except you'd have to play it on the unit itself or a 4-track
device to hear the tape properly.

Behringer was sued by Mackie. There was no case for a
lawsuit, Mackie was just acting like a baby and complaining
about Behringer's low prices. It was "un-American to buy
Behringer", this from the same people that moved their
production to Chine or something.

Genelec is a Finnish manufacturer of really high-end studio
reference monitors. Behringer has nothing even remotely
similar to that. Behringer makes low-priced studio gear,
they're like sand in the other manufacturer's underwear.
