a really nice WESTERN, for those who like the genre. the
movie was filmed entirely in the State of New Mexico which
gives it a look of the wild wild west! =0)

stars tommy lee jones, cate blanchette (such a great
actress), and val kilmer even puts in an appearance! anyway
for those of you movie minded check it out, it's worth a
gander!

was tommy lee convincing as a... native american, right? i
saw the trailer, he looked so odd! but maybe he pulled it
off?

*goosesteps to take a gander*

tommy lee plays a WHITE man who went NATIVE. so it's
understood that he's not really a REAL native american.

he's just been living with them, after abandoning his
family. he was pretty convincing in the movie, he face is
like a topographical map....so etched with life, he's really
good!

i really don't like ron howard as a director. his movies
always feel like they were made specifically to please the
Academy.

i also have a suspicion that it is being mis-marketed as a
horror/thriller. is it really how the previews make it out
to be? like an old west version of the Blair Witch Project?

i'll probably rent it anyway.

It can't be better than my favorite "western." Young
Guns

Terrance Stamp baby! And Emelio, what a dream boat.
:P

westerns are just about the only genre that I really have no
interest in at all.

nothing compelling about them to me, in any way.
