the "open your mind" voice sample is from the movie 'Total
Recall' (if i recall well), dunno about the music samples in
that track though,

about rhythim is rhythim's piano riff:

Strings Of Life - Rhythim Is Rhythim -
Recorded Winter 1987

My friend Michael James had written this piano piece. I took
a snippet of it and created a loop. That was how it started.
When I finished it I played it constantly for six days. I
couldn't get away from it. This was perhaps the start of my
first hour. The hour is not yet up.

- Derrick May -

derrick may = rhythim is rhythim? fuckin ell, you learn
something new everyday!

cheers for info, morton

the main riff of the open your mind is definately based
primarily on another much older record

oh the backing track from usura's "open you mind" is from
the simple minds' "new gold dream"

I dont think the "open your mind" sample is from Total
Recall.....the freak in that film pronounces it differently
IMO.

Great track btw.....I used to play the tape I had it on over
and over again as a kid.

Part of the synths are samples from an early 80s Simple
Minds track.
