i'd say proportionally, britain + america make the same
percentage of shit comedies.

most of britains very best happened a few years ago though.
pity. or have i forgotten something recent that was
outstandingly good?

I like Arrested Development, its the only good show fox has
nowadays. Don't start talking about Simpsons cuz you know
Family Guy will be brought up and that show is obviously
better and this will make you angry.

michael essany, Is that the kid with the insane teeth/mouth
structure and grown up manerisms who broadcasts a talk show
out of his home in Ohio? Or am I wrong. Eh....

thats correct. he needs to get out more, perhaps meet girls
instead of making talk shows in his front room (at his
parents house).

that kramer show is pretty bad too (i dont know the dudes
name), that charactere should never have been given any
depth, just like all the seinfeld characteres

bryce. What are favorite comedies then? Sponge Bob? Sienfeld
bad? Whats wrong with you people?

nono, the key to seinfeld was that all the characteres were
so shallow, hence the last episode..
i would like it if someone hated seinfeld though, so we can
have all the comedies ever mentioned here.
also: i think all the other characteres besides the
protagonists dharma and greg can be kinda funny

the cosby show? are you joking? its hilarious! i can't
believe you don't find a program about showing white
americans a sanitised and unthreatening perspective of black
america funny

never watched that much of the wonder years tbh.

happy days was the best out of all comedies.

married with children was great, whilst being bad though.
dont diss.

I used to watch the Wonder Years a lot -- and I also used to
like Home Improvements -- I think Tim Allen is a funny man
-- loved him in Galaxy Quest.

anger management is an irritating but also fascinating movie

offline hobbes from age on 2004-04-10 15:39 [#01137882]

what fascinated me was for example how he and his fiancee
communicate at the stadium, he has a mic for maybe two
seconds etc..etc.... silly little things that wouldnt really
bother me if it wasnt so lame.
im also fascinated by jack nicholson and his choice of
movies recently. im not sure i'll be fooled next time.
dont get me wrong though, i enjoy a good easy movie . but
just not this one.

For a minute there, I thought you were referring to the
Romero movie, Bruiser ... you had me confused as I didn't
think it was a comedy -- however, hovering over your link
showed me it must be some BBC sitcom or something...
