it out if you'd like: www.atragedy.com.
AANNNNDDD!!! ...
a while ago i put a poem (just one, out of a bunch) on
poetry.com. and out of thousands, mine got chosen to be a
finalist, in a big contest, i could win 10,000 dollars, and
get it published!
it's called like seconds... i'll post it here if you guys
want... or not.

Girl you could wipe your ass on a piece of paper and be a
finalist in one of those contests. They want you to buy a
big fat book of poems where yours will be printed along with
the poems of thousands of other suckers.

i used to think '42' was such a lonely number. because
nobody ever picked it...and there you go a-pickin' it. this
is the horsefactory i know and love. the horsefactory who
remembers everything that's just a little left out.

why do some of you feel the need to be such assholes? yah i
like electronic music, but i havn't heard 1/2 as much as
most of you, that's why i signd up to this board in the
first place.
k_maty, i'm not gonna say i don't care about your opinion
cause i do, but to most people, poetry isn't just words, as
you probably see them, they're about how the person writing
them feels at the time... yeah i'm guessing you DIDN'T know
that.

i've read two of tragedy's poems. one i liked very much, and
the other, well, not so much.

and i, too, have crappy poetry on poetry.com. now they won't
leave me alone about some big poetry convention in arizona
or some shit. apparently i have a trophy worth $300 or some
such crap waiting for me there. what a load of bullshit. i
hate them.

oh that reminds me, now that mp3.com is going away, i'm
getting all kinds of shitty emails from people wanting to
get me a record deal or host my music and shit like that.
that's so funny. i hate them also.

ah, but that's where the difference between good and bad
poetry comes out.

good poetry has meaning and depth beyond the personal
feelings of the writer - the text works on itself, can be
seen completely divided from the writer (in other words: You
Are Not Your Poetry).

bad poetry is poetry that only really has meaning or value
to the writer self, or people who already have affinity with
the writer.

the difference kind of lies whether you show poetry to other
people.
