i have to give props where they are due.
(even though he's a local pittsburgher)

Xanopticon's debut full length, "Liminal Space"
is out now on Hymen, and it crushes.
for fans of advanced, dense, hard sounds, this is an
amazing album. its mostly about complex, tight abstract
breakbeat assaults with textured dark atmospheres
and brief glitched interludes, before you go
back to intense drumwork.

if you cross venetian snares and richard
devine, you're pretty close.

highly recommended.

If you cross a semi-talented hippy, with a more than
talentless 'artist' you get Xanopticons 'Liminal
Space'...doesn't fill me with hope.

I will listen as often two negatives produce a positive.

if you hate snares and devine's music, then its probably not
worth your time, you just have different taste.

xanopticon rocks it, I stumbled upon some mp3's...been
searching/waiting for more ever since. Can't wait to receive
my copy :-) should sound even better without the shitty mp3
barfing.

good news !

By the way, do you know FRX, I guess he's japanese -
something to do with Ove-Naxx. I've been trying to hunt for
mp3s but FRX is an extension for visualbasic files...
Congrats to the assholes sharing their whole hard-drive and
coding accounting macros for excel.

What about an artist releasing under the name of mp3 ?

I must have seen a video of your work on kazaa.

I just bought the latest xanopticon. It's good but really
complex and changing. It's a lot harder to get into that
kind of stuff than to get into vsnares / not for everyone's
ears.

Interesting. Yeah Xanopticon is really right out on the edge
as you say harder to get into than V Snares. I've got some
freebie mp3s though and they are interesting.
