I installed direct connect, which required me to install some .net stuff from Microsoft. After the install I have an account on my computer called asp.net.
What is this?
I'm not worried, but it's annoying to have to login myself everytime. (I deleted the account)

.net is a new(ish) developement framework from microsoft. its going to take over asp, and allot of there other application developement tools. pretty soon all microsoft products will be run from servers and not installed locally on your machine (no more piracy).
anyway, i think for some security features, the developer can choose to use the .net database, which is directly linked to passport/hotmail. not 100% sure how it works.
