just be glad you don't work on weekends like me ( the pay is better).
In an ideal world we should only have to work 2 days and have the other 5 days for living life as is should be.

In a perfect world we'd be wired to machines and forced to work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for the good of our superiors, the corporate businessmen, who make life so worthwhile.

the answer to all your solutions is "shift work"
the hours are so fucked up you won't know what day! (or night) it is!

I have fridays off, so you could say I have a three day weekend. However, I tend to spend most of friday (and many Sundays too) working on my major project for my degree, so whilst I don't have to get up till noon on those days, I still put the hours in elsewhere. I prefer this sort of flexitime approach though. I don't mind a 40 hour week when you can choose when to work. Sometimes I'll do 12 hours plus in one day and then have a comparatively easy week the rest of the time. The good thing about this approach is you can do the sort of work to suit the mood your in. If you're tired and fancy mindless work you can do research or writing, if you can concentrate, work on coding instead.
