bogdan - 903 vs bradley's beat (part 1)

listen to both - they're very similar with their beginning
ideas rhythmically.. (903 is from the teddy bear magix ep
btw) But which is better overall?

I think 903 has to clench the title regardless of afx's
nostalgic and class feel to bradley's beat, 903 just has
more going on in it.

Although, contrasting to that, aphex's music is like a sea
of riches compared to bogdan's sea of shite decorated by few
gems (95% of which are one samurai math beats).

bogdan track is pimp.

please don't call bogdan's music a sea of shite.

marlowe, samurai math beats is one of my favourite albums of
all time, it's what got me into drum n bass and i haven't
found anything yet to match its niceness.

BUT i'm only being realistic here. Listen to Love melodies
Nintendo, Boku Mo Wakaran, Muzyka dla Imigrantow,
myloveilove, thinking of you and teddy bear magix ep. all
very, very weak stuff. Not a patch on samurai, in fact a
total change of direction from samurai into a sea of
unimaginative, samey melodies (ie, a sea of shite). All of
these melodies are played on the same few electronic
instruments, there's very little variety in his music.

Utterly boring shite.

roer-ei, how am i being obnoxious? I might be very extreme
in my thoughts and language, but I'm not being obnoxious.

Perhaps you'd like to pose a counter-argument instead of
just calling me an obnoxious cunt. Explain what you like
about them which I fail to see.

I had no idea who bogdan was, meho told me to get 'thinking
of you' on this site, I put it on and totally triped out. It
still remains one of my favorite and most memorable albums.
Putting that cd on was the best thing ever for me and I
still love it + him.

perhaps my displeasure with the albums was only amplified by
the fact that i had to download them on 56k and each time
was disappointed (except with 2222ep and denki shingon ep),
not getting the drum n bass i'd expected.

whoever says "WHY DONT U BUY THE ALBUMZ THEN YOU PRIKC" can
go fuck themselves. I download all my music; good stuff
isn't available in record stores here, and when it is it's
few and far between. Fucked if i'm spending time searching
for music and then paying for it when it might turn out to
be shit (ala this bogdan experience).

Perhaps he thinks it's obnoxious for you to presume that
just because you don't like it that it's universally shit.
Tastes differ but then again we all bitch.

I think My Love I Love is a fantastic album--it fills me
with such happiness.

his songs just seem to work
at first I wasn't madly in love with his stuff because the
descriptions I'd heard of it and what I assumed it to sound
like in my mind didn't fit what I heard

but now, bogdan is one of my favourite artists
and I'm quite overwhelmed by his work as a whole as opposed
to individual songs
