wonder if rock really is dead.

it is incredible huh. nice balance between conventional rock
and experimentalism. or should i be reprimanding you for not
talking about hip-hop?

Or maybe you're just not paying enough attention.

or maybe we just have different opinions of what constitutes
good music and i don't have time to listen to every piece of
"rock" music that comes out so i'm open to making
generalizations.

maybe you should turn around and have a look at your posts
before making accusations.
back to this album: i especially like providence. the whole
album is sort of a balance between ambient headspace and
rock music. its nice.

already gotten off topic of what the thread was about. all
apologies to you for my earlier comment, which probably
sounded quite hostile.

eh. well, we could always return it to the original intent
of the thread, which was to discuss the album, not the state
of rock music.

thread reopened, voodoo curse lifted.

Curse only stands if it is deemed that unjestified
negativity is directed at a fellow board member.

Unjestified means "unjustified and completely devoid of

Thank you.

yeah, awesome cd, good mix between their experiemental
side\their somewhat straightforward music. although i have
to say, i prefer their experimental stuff by a large margin.

i love Sonic Youth but i don't have this album - i only
heard "Teen Age Riot" but i didn't like it that much...

i think A Thousand Leaves is my favourite rock album ever.
and definitely one of my all-genre favourites.

i've been listening to this, trompe le monde, and loveless
lately. i'm on some kind of nostalgia trip even though i was
only six when this album came out.

i just downloaded loveless, what a fucking great album. i
wish id known it existed when it first came out

yeah, same here. theres enough great music from ten or
fifteen years ago that i haven't heard that i no longer need
new music.

i love Teen Age Riot, especially the beginning. The album
does kinda feel though like something played in a skateshop
or alternative store in a shopping mall, but i like dynamics
of this rock album. also ecnadniarb is cold as witch tit as
far back as this time it's amazing.

Well I prefer their first Album+KYIdols and CISex...
Murray Street with Sonic Nurse is really good I think,
despite that they are not so @experimental@
I loved Kim when I was younger
