Anyone played this yet? I'm thinking of picking it up. What are your opinions? Is it as linear as i've been told? (the mission select sounds like it SUX!!) If you have it, could you post the actual size of the game? I'm assuming it's on a dvd-9 (over 4.5 gig).

true crime streets of L.a maybe? ive heard that one is sweet though
in this one, you walk around in dark alleys, sneak up behind guys and press x or square behind him, then it goes to a cut scene of you slitting his neck or something. a million times over and over. horrible.

ffx2 looks strange to me.
its like ffx was full of restraint, and all of a sudden, yuna is in skimpy clothing and GUNS and JPOP and CHARLIES ANGELS
im sure it works, but, its just a weird progression to me. ill still pick it up, or rent it at least.

what i've gathered, is that yuna's crew are sphere hunters. They discover this sphere of tidus, yadda, yadda. The thing i think is rad is the class system. There's a new sphere/dress system that gives the various chars diffrent outfits, thus equiping that char with a new class.
I'm sure that the bulk of things are eyecandy, and not as serious as some of the past FF's. I do hear that it's a bad ass sequel for square-enix's first ever ff sequel.

Isn't the class system just like the old FF job system tho? But with clothes?
oh I spose the ability to change is the new bit... soz.

i'm leaning towards, yes. i think that it IS pretty much the same class system that they've always had. i've been told that there are hidden sphere's that give you some killer classes.
STILL need to catch kill bill. i think that it's no longer playing here in seattle, the japs better still have it when i go back to tokyo!

FFX-2 is looking to be a promising game and first-ever direct sequel to a FF. I have played the demo and seen the video and special bonus footage on the International Version of FFX. The new job/dress system is very reminiscent of pld days, and is smoothly executed with nice battle sequences. And of course, the fact that you only get to play as three hot girls does not bother me one bit. Rikku is bangin'! Sorry. The gameplay should not be as linear as you think. You have the choice of many different missions, in whatever order you want, and there are multiple endings I hear as well. This should tide me over the Christmas season until I can afford FFXI:Online or a Gamecube. Oh yeah, and the battles are reall fluid, meaning active time battle. This makes the gameplay a lot better too.

It got great marks and reviews, I was skeptical at first because of the whole ''dress-up'' angle... Charlie's Angels. And Yuna was insufferably boring in X. Getting for Christmas.
