Shit, I thought this was going to be a recommendation for
the handy storage of my newt, not another spam thing.

Oh well I might as well listen now.

Feel free to return the favour, my thread is in need of a
bumping anyway.

2003-11-26

Opening with what sounds like a futuristic conveyor bend
grinding into operation, the beats move in with an older
acid sort of feel...however they do feel slightly off time,
which disorientates the listener, then what sounds like the
synth line from a dark 80's action movie eases itself in.
With more than a nod to the Terminator soundtrack brought up
to date with crunchy unease this track manages to maintain
it's atmosphere before slowely decending to nothingness over
the course of about a minute (possibly a little too long for
a lead out on 4:30 track :D)

thanks dude!

ecnadniarb: thanks for the review! nicely put.. i'll
probably extend the second section where the beats get all
cut up just before the ending.. or something..

Hands For You

Opens with a slightly off key piano solo before entering
into the usual choppy beat madness we have come to expect
from modex. Melody is possibly a little simplistic, however
it does convey a strange mood, it is neither a happy track
nor a particularly dark track. At 2 minutes the flavour
changes and the track goes through a bit of a
desconstructive phase which keeps the listener interested
before resuming into the beats with a new synth line,
however it this synth lacks the emotion of say an autechre
melody, although that could very much just be down to
personal opinion. Again what feels like a very long outro,
but with a bit more detail than 2003-11-26 this caps off the
song off nicely.

its for the end of my three days album..

Two very different tracks, but very interesting. I would
have to say 'Hands for you' is my favourite of the two,
simply because i get a warmer feeling from it.

2003-11-26, although is was detailed enough to keep me
interested in listening to it, I would not normall go for
this style of music. It seems to feel cold and 'empty' to
me.

Both well made, i appreciate the effort that went into
making them. Keep up the good work!
