in the us, speed is a generalized street term for amphetamines, of which there are many, eg methamphetamine, dextroamphetamine. if you buy meth on the black market, it's probably not pharmaceutical in origin and it's probably methamphetamine plus contaminants. it might also be methcathinone (which is also called cat). in the us, generally ice refers to the smokable form of methamphetamine. when you smoke cannabis, generally you are smoking the dried female flowers (buds, which have some leaves mixed in and about the flowers). most of the active ingredients are contained in crystalline glands on the surface of the leaves, concentrated about the flowers. hashish is made by drying the plants, and then shaking and rubbing off the crystalline glands and pressing them together into a sticky resinous goo. "hash" is not necessarily more potent than "cannabis". the quality of the plant determines the quality of the cannabis and the hash. |

but like E is amphetamine aswell - I wouldn't call E speed. Keep in ind that slang differs in different countries, over here we do a lot of dexxies - dexamphetamine whizz/whipper/whip - speed meth/ice - every time i ask someone if it's the same as speed or not i get a different answer - one of my mates who does forensics says ther'es a slight chemical difference though. |

od- e is also a phenethylamine. there is a substance called amphetamine, and it has none of the effects generally associated with amphetamines. i used the word amphetamine in it's common sense, and wasn't speaking strictly in terms of chemistry. but you are correct, an amphetamine does not necessarily have "speedy" effects, so not all amphetamines would be called speed. "speed" is not really specific in reference to a chemical, it generally means "amphetamines that are speedy." *coughs and passes hookah tube to q4z2x* |

hey all of you! why not try not taking drugs, and learn to hurt a bit, then you'll see reality. After that everything becomes so much clearer. It's easier in the long run to go without all that shit. |

i know people who speed, and i could easily get some. but it has never appealed to me before. i'll stick with natural drugs. |

yeah sticking to all natural is a better thing to do, but would you consider opium all natural? thats pretty bad, but most likely not that bad in western society unless you can get your hands on a lot of it to keep doing. |

I've never done any drugs, and i have to say that i'm glad. Drugs are one of the most fuct up things in the modern world. I do not mind some dude's smoking weed, but stuff like meth is fucking up many young peoples lifes. and this is a really sad thread to read, but its the reality. fuct up.. hehe, quite a rant.. |
