Is this track living only to annoy listeners?
Personally I dig the beats, but despise the wrest of the song. Not to mention the loud frequency noise which streams across the track?
Isn't that noise, the sound heard when one overdoses on asthma medication?
Who likes this song? and why? Who hates this song? and why?
I really wanna know. I think this song destroys the overall flow of I CARE BECAUSE YOU DO; which is one awesome beautiful album by the way.

same here..luv it..but then again I first got into aphex for all the noisy and banging bits and assimilated his gentler side as I went along...the remixes are fantastic (both his and the guests...especially dig CYLOBS' version)...but then again my own background is from pure clanging Industrial..(not to be confused with Industrial rock)

Ventolin is alright... it's my least favorite track on ICBYD, which is my fav APhex Twin album... It's decent, but I usually skip over it, because just like you said, it does ruin the feeling of the music up to that point...

Ventolin is almost like an unfinished video, in the video the woman is locked within the elevator and can't get out due to a problem with the fan overhead the elevator. The problem is traced back to the source which is a a steam pipe and then random images of steam pipes are shown. Later the woman begins to panic and you see her reach for her purse, unable to find her 'Ventolin'. As the doors remain closed at the end, this represents her inability to escape and inevitable death.

I like it 'cause it makes me feel like I'm going mad.
And am I right in thinking that all of the "percussion" is a distortion of the high pitched noise? It goes away whenever something "hits."

At first I didn't care to much for the track. And I had the track name mixed up with Icct hedal. But now i love it not only because i enjoy the track but because i know that i am one of a select group of people who know aphex twin and enjoy it.

How does Ventolin disrupt the overall flow of ...I Care Because You Do? It is only really as noisy as Icct Hedral, Come On You Slags and Start As You Mean To Go On. Anyway, compared to some of the things he has written, it is reasonably tuneful. Now the Caustic Window stuff, or the first song on Analogue Bubblebath 4 - that you can complain about...

i skip through alot of the album, cause i think its too long. wax the nips is fucking annoying as well...and come on you slags only has a certain amount of charm for the first couple of minutes-start as you mean to go on is smart-reminds me of 73 yips...but the album is kinda patchy. love the ventolin remix though...

ventolin sounds the way it does for a reason. there is a story behind it. richard has mild asthma
ive heard richard wrote the song supposably after having an asthma attack and then overdosing on ventolin.
overdosing on ventolin is no fun. you see shit like flashing lights and shadows that aren't there. you also hear high pitch sqeals. richard was reproducing the experience as a song.
its supposed to sound clostrophobic.

he didn't have an ahsma attack, he just made the song to feel like your having one. he should make more songs that are like other attacks, hell make a whole album.
