what would you say if i said that the track "do you know
squarepusher?" was actually a collaboration between sp and
afx?

just wondering if anyone else has had this notion...

i would say that you're lying and then i'd force you to
listen to "we are reasonable people" for 24 hours straight.

Anything is possible....though I've never heard the track
before....not to keen on Squarepusher except for a few
tracks.

i'd say this: Wawona's Peach Shortcakes are a cup with a
shortbread cake on the bottom and sweeten fresh frozen
peaches on top for a delicious treat anytime. They come 12 /
4 oz cups in a box.

i would also say "horsefactory please never change your av,
because if you did, part of me would die."

liar? crazy? sourceless? easy now, it's a notion. a simple
notion. obviously i can't say for certain. i disliked mrhc
enough to skip "go plastic", so i don't know what gp sounded
like. and i've never heard most of "dyks."

except for the title track...which was originally released
as an untitled 12", and also as an untitled 192kbps mp3
distributed by warp. the tag info that comes with this warp
distributed mp3 is "::[pND/BlueCalx]::" and indicates that
the style is "booty bass." certain melodic elements and
production techniques in the track definitely bring to mind
afx (though i'm aware that there is a certain degree of
mutual stylistic production/editing technique between the
two). blue calx being a known pseudonym for afx i wondered
if there might be a connection.

i found the mp3 in an anonymous directory awhile back after
hearing a sample of the track in realaudio at amazon. it
was the only sp track in the directory.

as for listening to "w.a.r.p." for 24 hours straight, can
you just program "wear my bikini" and leave it on repeat for
me?

horsefactory, i can't understand what you're saying when you
have a mouthful of peach shortcakes...

then again, have another shortcake.

hey, maybe some of you foreigners can answer me since warp
is YOUR countries record label, why is jimmy tenor on the
same label as ae? why do people think jimmy tenor should
make albums?

the mp3 tag could have been change by someone, an dhow do
you know for certain that it is the actuall mp3 that warp
offered and not just one that a random person ripped them
selves... in any case if it is the actual mp3 then we have
got a new mystery on our jizz-ladnen hands now don't we.

good question, ifkardo. the vinyl and mp3 issued by warp
were "untitled." this mp3 tagged "untitled," and is not
from the vinyl. unless someone was attempting to deceive,
if it was ripped from the cd, it would likely have been
given it's proper cd title "do you know squarepusher?"

the track is tagged "2001," the year the untitled vinyl and
mp3 were released. the album "do you know squarepusher?"
was released in 2002. again, this would imply a deliberate
attempt to deceive if the mp3 was ripped from the 2002 cd
release.

also, i do recall that the untitled mp3 that was distributed
by warp was encoded at 192kbps; i actually remember reading
this when the 12" was released, but i don't recall the
source.

again, the directory contained only this sp mp3, along with
personal stuff and some random non-sp mp3s. it was last
modified (i assume this is the post date) july 22, 2002 at
http://thirtyfour.org/multimedia/
and i now discover that it's part of a directory for a tiny,
independent sort-of ezine.

does anyone else discern anything afx-y about the
production?

kochlear, why is broadcast on the same label as ae? or
vincent gallo? anyway, jimi tenor was dropped from warp a
few years ago...

it would be pretty amazing if sp made a good album, and afx
made a shitty one...

i personally dont hear any twin influence in there, i
mean... the two are friends, maybe the help each other with
their stuff, maybe not.

but i dont hear anything that screams twin to me.
