You actually pay for the premium service???

I don't really know what to say. I liked the track, but I
suggest using some warmer sounds or shortening it. Or even
just adding various synth stabs here and there. Its much too
abrasive as it is. I mean, even richard devine textures his
abrasive glitch-scapes with synths.

2 mins into it - got some nasty [nasty = feckn brilliant]
sounds going. Some nice effects ..

Very grand. So far am liking it very much.

I'm just thinking what this would sound like live! MAD!
Galatos or something .. with an adequate PA .. fuck it'd be
mad.

Nice heavy sounds .. dig it.

Definetly one for the head. :)

Ok finished listin to it .. i like it .. very much .. a very
grand ambitious number - well IMHO .. but yeah .. dunno
really know what taxi was on abaat.. the harshness is like i
don't know, its appeal in a way or so ?

..good stuff..
have anymore?

Scary Bear on 2001-11-27 01:08 [#00055888]

This is the best tune I have heard for a while from anyone
on this MB. Probably since ID Lab. I thought it was quite
cool. The only thing I'd say is work on these things and
find out what people think but remember that they are your
tunes and you keep you own style. This site wouldn't exist
if Richard wasn't honest with himself about the tunes he
liked and wanted. Its not for everyone basically, its for
you. Then other people might like it which is okay. If you
start making it FOR them tho, thats when you're fucked.

f.l.e.a from doghole on 2001-11-27 23:41 [#00056255]

wow thanks for all the kind words everyone...
to SALVADORE..thanks man I know I can always count on you
for encouragement :)..as for playing live..I think I am
gettin a bit too old and long in the tooth for that I sold
all my real instuments a while back :( but thanks for the
thought :)
to TAXI..no I dont pay for premium service..hmm this song
was an exercise in col harshness..I have plenty of songs
with warmer tones on the f_l_e_a that are companions to this
song..try syncrospank, proxytoxy, maximuck, botoxy etc and
let me know what you think of those. :)...
to meat cutter..thanx..yeah tons
http://www.mp3.com/f_l_e_a..it will also link you to 3 other
sites full of meh music :)
to SCARY BEAR...thank you so much:) and I agree with your
POV of personal visions but having others listen to your
stuff..brings out facets that you might be unaware of..mW
and Salvadore's been giving me some very usefulfeed back

to Xanatos...fruity loops

to Quadrapelegicrobotikev..thanks I kept rest of the sounds
and channels to minimum to bring out the drums...speedy j
was a big inpiration on this track as well as Caustic Window
and early metallic aphex
to Chrispy..thanx

cheers everyone

i'd never listen to that... but sounds cool anyway. a bit
''i wanna rip off that first track on ICBYD'' but... don't
like it really.

but if you were only looking for something that sounds
'cool' you got it. good job.

mmmmMmmmm from chaopoooooo on 2001-11-28 08:33 [#00056348]

I think it sounded little like the first track on ICBYD.
Another good'n. Perhaps a bit long. Even though it has a few
changes, they aren't really big enough to back the
continuation of the song (that's what I thought when I
listened a couple days ago at least). It depends on the
reason for listening though. I almost always like short
things for a "low boredom threshold" and always wanting to
go on to the next action/event. For a somewhat ambient
companion to excercising or something, when you're not
focusing completely on the music, long stuff is good though.

I tried to make this a song to submit "game soundtrack"
section of mp3.com..one of the few electronic genres I
haven't tackled :) without too many obvious changes and as a
sound accompaniement to imagined happenings on a
screen...with only the percussion driving and carrying the
crux of the track...I don't think this experiment to be
entirely successful as it is still a bit too busy..
it was one of my all time favourite games FORSAKEN..I was
thinking of when I was creating the song..all that action on
the superhover bikes and cyborgs in the sunken post
apocalyptic tunnels...way cool!
admittedly the song is rather long..but I was trying to
break out the mode of creating short short songs for
Marzipan Dolphin..where anything over a minute is a long
song :)
