Best Soft for create electronic music.

\/\ooÆ’erAttack!!! from Milan on 2001-11-26 18:01 [#00055746]

For WooferAttack it's time to start to make music, so here I
ask to all expert musicians to suggest me the best
software's programs for create electronic music, acid
sounds, ambient melodies, etc...

Make me know the best program names
and if there's some one freeware.

Thanx

I've been considering trying some electronic music makin'
too, Woof. I tryed once, but the program was too complicated
for me!

tryed=tried

REPHLEX~ology from UK on 2001-11-26 18:03 [#00055750]

two programs,

Fruityloops and ReAson, i swear by them.

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2001-11-26 18:12 [#00055762]

Are they free?

REPHLEX~ology from UK on 2001-11-26 18:14 [#00055766]

If you crack them, yes.

\/\/ooÆ’erAttack!!! from Milan on 2001-11-26 18:22 [#00055769]

REPHLEX~ology: Thank you, I signed these names. Do you have
the cracks?

Ophecks: I tried only with a funny acid program called
REBIRTH T33.
It's a demo-version I can't record the songs, but it's funny
and I vent my techno-acid aggressivity...

A friend of mine has the CUBASE, he says who it's difficult
to use, is it a good program?

madtracker - www.madtracker.org

its a good starting piont. easy to use. then id go for
something like fruity loops, or orion.

reaktor is good for making sounds.

xtal from U.S on 2001-11-26 18:25 [#00055772]

i use fruity loops :) its easy to use, if any one wants it
and has a good connection, let me know....we can transfer
the files. LET THIS MUSIC SPREAD THRU OUT 4 EVA.

REPHLEX~ology from UK on 2001-11-26 19:18 [#00055779]

i have cu-base. Really does my head, look deep enough, and
it gets really baffling. There arent any half decent midi
voices, and i cant really use VST. I just use it for
arranging.

My mate lent me the full copy of fruity loops 3, so i havent
got a crack for that, and i cant remember where i got ReAson
from, but probably off of KaaZa or morpheus.

Hope that is some help to you.

woofer: try searching on astalavista.com for cracks. dunno
if they're there, but you never know!

jingle on 2001-11-26 19:46 [#00055785]

for a beginner i would recommend something like MAGIX 6, cos
it is £30 and is actually the value version of logic with a
different front end, also it is processor-light cos it
doesn't have all the useless shit running in the background
that Cubase has. cubase is good for if you want do lots of
intricate midi things but i only have a p100 so i don't
bother.

if you are going for a cracked program i would say get
soundforge for sample bending, as it works on ANY soundcard
and anything above a 486. also once you learn the tricks you
can get proquality amixing shit out of it.

rebirth is a bit more of a toy, love to use it to work out
grooves, very fun but not that many applications.

get coagula aswell, very high quality sound from bitmaps as
used by rdj, found over at sonicspot.com

I would recommend investing in a couple of issues of
COMPUTER MUSIC magazine...always comes with CD'ROMS with
loadsa goodies, tutorials, demos, free and shareware,
royalty free samples ..sometimes with complete audio
suites...all for just the cover price..kinda pricy but well
worth it..can orders back issues as well the ones that came
with complete software...
www.computermusic.co.uk
excellent starting place till you get a feel for what you
like

I got Cubase [just updated to 5.1] - got it for student
discount - so came to about the same price as the cut down
Cubasis.

I personally reckon it is da shit. And VST blows me away -
like I can't get enough of it.

Mind you, you can do that with Fruityloops 3 as well, and I
know plenty of people that use this, (meant to be quite user
friendly) and make damn good music with it too.

Personally tho .. what ever sequencer type thing you get, I
would recommend VST - Just look at the native instruments
products - just makes my knees go soft (mind you - need tha
Puntha also).

I also have a copy of Rebirth. If you want to record, you
have to go into song mode- the really annoying thing is
that you have to rerecord all the knob twiddling and pattern
changes etc. But if you stick at it for long enough its ok.

But to get back to Cubase. I think it is a gem. Although, I
have to say, I have a few little minor issues with the Audio
effects (like, not the real time - which you can record!) ..
but time stretch n that. I prefer to use ProTools free for
that.. you can find it on

www.digidesign.com -

should be pretty easy to figure out where to go from there.

One thing. If you're going to go software - Ram and CPU are
a virtue (unless you decide to opt for one of them classy
Sharp Sound card or so)

But yeah .. as flea sais - COMPUTER MUSIC!!!

You can get all the tutorials free off the net! And it rates
different products etc .. You have to wait like a month or
so to read ALL the articles, but you can see most of the
stuff. Dont get the demo's tho.

www.computermusic.co.uk

FUTUREMUSIC is ok .. not quite as um .. related tho.

:)

Sorry bout that rave .. hope that helps tho. Oh .. and
unfortunately patience is a virtue (or that is what I find).
You have all these ideas and sit down and go - fuck .. i've
lost it, and like cant do what i want.. doesn't sound like i
want it to etc .. if yo ustick at it!! -- would love to hear
some Aceed tracks .. mmmhhh
