in spain whe we want to give some food (or anything) to a dog we say "toma" which means "take this" or "here you have"
so if you say "toma" any dog will come, cos they are all used to hear that word, and they know it means something good for them
so no matter the name of the dog, if you say "toma" he will go

No, human names for dogs are cool; "fetch, bill" "roll over and play dead, tony". Having a dog with a human name, gives it a whole new feel. It's more inclusive than calling your dog Fido or whatever. Those are lame names.
Humans best friend should have a human name, not some silly cartoon name.
Better yet, name the dog after a famous comedian or something. Like John Cleese.
