Salival

I used to be an avid Tool fan, but then I got so involved
in this whole IDM/electronic thing that I kind of lost my
love for Tool.

Well I popped in "Salival" the other night and re-kindled my
appriciation for Tool. Every song on it is so good, the
live version of "Pushit", oh my god.

ever since i first heard tool, they've been one of my
favorite bands. maynards voice gives me chills, and
undertow, holds amazing memories.

They used to be my favorite band in the world. Now I think
they're "pretty good."

yay! tool is one of my fave bands. and yes, live pushit on
salival is orgasmic. i saw tool live last summer and they
actually played third eye, it was fucking AMAZING. i would
give almost anything to see tool again. heres hoping it
doesnt take another 5-7 years for a new album.

i have seen tool six times now and i never want to hear them

which i really dont like in retrospect.

but that riviera show was one of my favorite concerts ever.

Lateralus WAS boring. really only two or three moments
where it's good.

the title track 'lateralus' had the most predictable lyrics

lateralus is my favorite tool album ,closely followed by
Ænima. then at a distance undertow then far far off in the
distance opiate.

about apc:
the new disc just didnt seem like apc at all(except a few
tracks) maybe my tastes have just changed but it just didnt
seem like top level maynard...plus the artwork was terrible.

wow... i think lateralus, lyrically, is the greatest album
in the world. what do you like lyrically?

I will now do a comparison:
Aenima - Jimmy:

"What was it like to see
The face of your own stability
Suddenly look away
Leaving you with the dead and hopeless?

Eleven and she was gone.
Eleven is when we waved good-bye.
Eleven is standing still,
Waiting for me to free him
By coming home.

Moving me with a sound.
Opening me within a gesture.
Drawing me down and in,
Showing me where it all began,
Eleven.

It took so long to realize
You are the voice that's been calling me back home.

Under a dead Ohio sky,
Eleven has been and will be waiting,
Defending his light,
And wondering...
Where the hell have I been?
Sleeping, lost, and numb.
So glad that I have found you.
I am wide awake and heading home.

Hold your light,
Eleven.
Lead me through each gentle step by step
by inch by loaded memory.

I'll move to heal
Soon as pain allows so we can
Re-unite and both move on together.

Hold your light,
Eleven. Lead me through each gentle step by step
By inch by loaded memory
'till one and one are one, eleven,
So glow, child, glow.
I'm heading back home."

fuck, I just about cried. I think that's my favorite tool
song.
