I've recorded a few samples with my md. now, how do I
transfer them to my computer? Is it even possible?

headphone -> headphone cable...

put it in your mic imput and play it while recording it in
your audio editor...

well thats how i do it, which means there is most likely a
more efficiant way.

i use a digital cable, assuming you have a decent soundcard
with a digital md port

I have the soundblaster extigy, so I thought maybe I could
use the optical cable, but how to access the contents of the
md?

have to do it the old fashioned way with a mini jack

if your card supports optical, then its the same method

my card supports optical, and so does my md, and I have
connected them, but how the fuck do I transfer the shit???

I'm clueless, so you'll have to pretend like I'm a five year
old snot-nosed brat.

ah right. well just play the minidisc as if you were
listening to it, and set your computer to receive the line
in signal. i dont have experience with optical cards.. but
im assuming there should be a simliar line in level in your
software.

what i do personally is send the minidisc output to my
computer via a mixer, cause the initial levels are not so
loud

open up your audio editor and see if there is an IMPORT
option in "file" or something

that settles it pretty much.. youll have to use the normal
output jack, and transfer it as you would any other
instrument.
