SURFACE 10 *LIVE* + Giveaway

Digital::Nimbus hosts Pietrobot & Freakquency Modulator are
proud to announce the debut KUCI performance of Surface
10 (aka Dean De Benedictis) from Los Angeles. Surface 10
has
undergone a drastic evolution since the first self titled CD
release
in '96 (Hypnotic Records), jumping from a traditional
gravity in
ambient music to the edgy side of IDM with his 2000 CD
release
"In Vitro Tide" (DiN Records). Much like the world of
electronic
music in general, it has been an ongoing focus of Surface
10
to create/find a language for the technology to speak
through
itself. This evolution continues as elements of hip hop and
progressive electronica are being distorted and
re-configured
into the Surface 10 dimension.

On Digital::Nimbus, Surface 10 will exemplify this
exploration
with a stylistically contrasting selection of tracks, woven
together
by manipulated field recordings and random audio files.
There
will also be a Giveaway following S10's performance and
interview.

Holy SHiiiiittttt!!!!! Somebody else knows about Surface
10?????

His song 'Concentrations' is a godsend....I seriously will
never get tired of it! Thanks for the links, I basically
gave up looking for any information about Dean.

Surface 10 put together a real nice set....I missed about
half of it, but for coming home and listening to music at
3:30am it was very tranquil and was something that I really
enjoyed.

Now to go and get his album.
