I know this is damn near blasphmy amongst so many Aphex
Phan-Boys, but I firmly believe it.

Better than Aphex in the same way as a fat mans tits make
him a woman.

Yeah, better than Aphex in the same way as a fat mans tits
make him a woman.

Better than aphex in that he did it BEFORE and he did MORE
OF IT. He died in 1999 and there are still hundreds of
hours of unreleased tapes. Aphex's best work was from 88-92
and he hasnt had an original idea since.

So much things are better than Aphex Twin anyway...

I agree, but this site seems all about aphex and I like to
provoke combative discourse.

theyre not even that comparable anyways. just listen to
them both. most people dont know who muslimgauze is
anyways.

He died in 2002 not 1999 I thought?

Nah, it was '99.

And he's very good and has one of the most daunting
discographies of all, but I wouldn't put him in the same
class as legends like Aphex Twin and Huey Lewis.

Mmmm...muslimgauze. *puts on Jazz Club voice*... Nice

*has a small cry for the loss of the entire back catalogue
in hard drive crash*

MachineofGod and I both are from Cleveland (though only I am
man enough to admit it) and know of Muslimgauze- further
proof that Cleveland is the center of the universe.

your right i was wrong, the recent death was one of the guys
from drexciya. the only reason i thought it was muslimgauze
was because in the grooves issue a little bit ago they
mentioned him in the same sentence.

one thing about muslim gauze is make sure you got your
volume down before you hit play...

KIIISSSST...... TRA CHA KSST TRAC..TRAC>
KIIISSSST .... TRA CHA KSST TRAC. TRAC

thats my compressed tabla explanation thing

ive woke many house members up at 3am with this artist
and you cant really similarise mr.gauze to mr.twin

now that i don't have to choose entire releases from a mail
order catalog my appreciation of muslimgauze has grown. he
just had a lot of stuff and some was better than others (the
stuff that is good is really really good). fortunately he
has a lot of stuff on itunes.

RIP
