Is this one of those perfect fault less albums or what?

I don't know wether it's faultless but it's certainly good.

I love Sonic Youth, but this is not one of their best
albums. It's still great, though.

to me it's just the perfect mix of experimentation and
accessibility...

I definately thought that one was better than a thousand
leaves.

Confusion is Sex is great too. One of the most
disturbing records I've ever heard.

goo is excellent - i like it more than dirty! they made a
music video for each song on goo and collected them on a
videotape. i recommend that. experimental jet set is a
great album! but my personal favorite period of sonic youth
is 85-87 (Bad Moon Rising, EVOL, Sister).

does anyone know if goo is next on their reissue campaign or
is it daydream nation? maybe i'm being "elitist" again but
i'm surprised so many people here are only now hearing about
sonic youth, can, faust, elliott smith, etc....

Goo was supposed to be next, but I don't know for sure...

well elliot smith is understandably not heard of by an idm
crowd. sonic youth, not typically the same crowd but more
well known than smith. now can and faust...well i dunno
itll just always be like that(some people will know em some
wont)

i didnt realize they were doing deluxe versions of more than
just dirty...seems kinda pointless to me, theyre not that
old. geffen is just trying to squeeze more $ out of sy
since they dont bring in much $ anyways and they have a
completely free contract of sorts.

I killed my sisters boyfriend, it was all whirlwind heat and

pretty rad sleeve

Probably my fave Sonic Youth album, great collection of
videos for all the tracks too.

Every track a winner - fave track on Goo is probably
Titanium Expose

how can it be weird if someone just doesn't hear about a
band or artist? Is there some set rule that indicates
exactly when you're supposed to find and discover certain
bands?
