Seeing as people like Fear & loathing, anyone like hunter s.
thompson's literature (guy who wrote it) it's brilliant.

easyjesus© from who knows where... on 2001-11-26 18:24 [#00055771]

"brazil" is my favorite actually... all of terry's work is
good. second fav is probably "the big lebowski" followed by
"fight club"... there are so many good films, it's hard to
rank them.

xtal from U.S on 2001-11-26 18:28 [#00055774]

A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, by far the best film, and the song by
Aphex Twin called "FILM" is by far one of the best songs
eva!

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-11-26 21:48 [#00055816]

I'm not a real movie buff personally... I don't rent them,
or go see them in theatres very often... so, out of the ones
I've seen, my top 5 is probably, in no particular order:

Shashank REdemption
The Shining (Heeeerrrreeee's Johnny!!!!"
Forest Gump
Apocolypse Now
The Matrix (I watched it again a few weeks ago, and it blew
me away)

Fresch from Trondheim, Norway on 2001-11-27 00:28 [#00055881]

don't have in my Scorsese/De Niro collection...oh , plus
that flick with Liza Minneli and De Niro...argh, can't
remember the title!!
Goodfellas and Casino are still my all time favourites,
though.

|r|d|um on 2001-11-27 00:30 [#00055882]

my favorite movie is gummo... anyone seen it?

Scary Bear on 2001-11-27 00:36 [#00055884]

Here's one big reckomendation. "The Baron Munchhausen". Go
for a nice skunky reefa, or two, or three. Or better still
load up some shotties and have a session. The watch the film
above, the guy who does the artwork is the same guy who did
it for Monty Python. Whoever that is. It is a supreme
headfuck with quite a cool moral at the end. Its a kids
film, but essentially it will probably make more sense to
most Twin fans!

I saw 'Little Shop of Horrors' when I was mashed. I had
never heard of it before. It was sketchy as fuck but I would
really reckomend it to anyone who hates musicals with very
annoying childrens songs.

FreakyNinoBrown from usass on 2001-11-27 00:46 [#00055886]

i saw that movie scarybear...and actually i was pretty high
at the time so i forget most of it but it was pretty trippy
have seen gummo but havent seen julian donkeyboy...anyone
knows how it stacks up?

Milk Man Dan on 2001-11-27 02:32 [#00055908]

Julien is funnier, I can watch Gummo over and over and
something, but I keep wanting to watch Julien again and for
some reason I can't, my head goes all funny and I just stop,
I'll try and watch it again later. Did you see the official
site for Julien when it was up?

Omega from United States on 2001-11-27 02:52 [#00055913]

Jesus Christ... have none of you seen
Gummo ? I would think Aphex fans were a little more into
independent films, rather than large motion pictures.

Omega from United States on 2001-11-27 02:55 [#00055917]

Well, correction,..apparently me and |ri[di]um are the only
people who have seen Gummo here... I definately reccomend
this picture.

Bob Hoskins on 2001-11-27 02:59 [#00055918]

We've all seen Gummo, and it is not an 'independant'
film. And on a related note, it's not low budget either.
