it's cool, the part at 1:05 where it's just the beat, it seems kind of like it doesn't need to be there.
there's a lot of parts where i just feel like there needs to be more going on
but then again i like my music around 200+bpm

It's okay but what are you trying to communicate to the listener? Do you want them to be excited by you, non different or something else?

i accidentally posted this in Roygbivcore's thread but:
zeus,
this song is huge. it sounds really big. reminds me of NIN or something, however remotely. If i had anything to suggest, it would be to add some kinda vocal. some sweet fem vocals.. or no.. wait.. like some low volume death metal
vocals. like in the background eq'd to sound like wax paper
on a comb. like some guy screaming but low enough volume so
that you can barely make out the lyrics kinda shit.
or some real slow heavy distortion scratching. some call and response style stuff.
anywho, that's what i'd do.

i don't know why, but this vaguely reminds me of "at the heart of it all". anyway, sounds good. sort of unsettling for a "downtempo" track, but thats probably my boards of canada saturated ears talking.

Im glad you guys dig this!
yeah, I think vocals would work on this too. It would be funny if all my songs ended up having vocals on them (my last track is for vocals, although I havnt gotten anyone to sing yet)
But yeah, cool :)
Thanks again

It's fantastic.
Granted, that's almost the norm with Thor, uh, I mean, Zeus.
But for once, I not Celcus, speak the truth.
Shit, I can rhyme.
Maybe the only song that you've recorded that deserves comparison to Fragile - era NIN.

Or actual singing.

Beatboxing, aural deconstructions, guitar loops, falsettos, synth sub - bass melodies, drone...
...my only problem: a decent connection + modest computer + limited resources - infinite time = my shitty lack of music making opportunities.

Oh I LOVE the fucking percussion and the rumbley bass, and the creepy subtle melody. Excellent. It's downtempo, but it's not chill. One of my favorites yet by Zoose.

You're doing catchier stuff these days, like it.

I've noticed that your style seems to mainly consist of slow hip-hop type beats with lots of atmospherics. A bit of BOC and Dj Shadow. Always chill, so doing crazy drill beats is out of the question, but I really like what you did with this one. The thing most artists (including myself) seem to have is a lack of interest in the songs. I really dug your track but after 2 min it just didn't keep my interest. Its okay to milk your sounds throughout the track but you have to do it wisely. I highly suggest listening to Bola (who is a architectural genuis with music, imo). Its seems that most of Bolas tracks rely on the individual sounds 90% of the time, and actual arrangements for the other 10%. But I've also notice that you are definately more of a composer/arranger (or at least have great potential to be) so definatly take a look at your track and ask if you need a different formula, rather than verse, chorus, verse, chorus (not saying that you do this, just using it as an example.), figure out ways to incorporate some chord changes along with it. Melody changes are a great way to keep a listeners interest. Consult some Ilkae for good examples of chord changes and atmospheric sound construction.
I'm blazed so I hope that I didn't come off as an arrogant ass. Good luck.
