new band from beckie and bruce from godspeed you black
emperor and silver mt zion, new album out.. titled 'if only
a sweet surrender to the nights to come be true'.

pretty good stuff, nothing to really blow your socks off.
pretty much just cello with some drums, one track with
piano.

the tracks that DO blow me away are 'sweet surrender be
true', which is so goddamn beautiful, and 'the marvellous
engines of resistance', which rocks hard. both are must
listens.

a good friend of mine has been trying to get me into this
stuff, I cant take it well only in light doses so far.. but

this came out a while ago but yeah this is awesome stuff
indeed. speaking of godspeed projects, the new shalabi
effect disk "pink abyss" will be out early 2004.
