Well to change the subject a bit here to be more music oriented and not so hurting, such a tragedy. heh. anyways,
AFX - new or old? BOC - new or old? AE - new or old? UZIQ - new or old? SQUAREPUSHER - new or old?
AFX - Old BOC - Newer AE - Old UZIQ - Old SQUAREPUSHER - Old
Aslo discuss... what sort of sound would you like to hear from any one of these artists, personally id like to see AE do some ambient work, or even BOC hit that up

Good topic... i think its close to being the opposite of your prefferences.
Afx: New, newer. If we figure old is like "classics" or "Saw 1" i say new. Even windowlicker and Drukqs.
Squarepusher: New
BoC: Old

i love the way BOC has that old feel to it tho. like the simple kiddy analog tape feeds of synth loops. its their beats that always sound new and up to date i think.
AFX - new BOC - a bit of both Squarepusher - old havent heard much from AE or UZIQ

FlyAgaric: so ill be nice its ok really. im nice enough, just not when there is some sort of cheesy ass argument or something.
old skool is better AFX.. yes! well opinions I guess.
Squarepusher doing gabba would be crazy! id love to hear that. Autechre doing some dance shit would be a little insane!
I dunno maybe to see Uziq to do some more darker stuff, less busy.... more simple, I dunno id also love to see boc keep doin their own thing.. heh.

AFX - newish (not including Smojphace) BOC - old AE - new UZIQ - old (well, Astronomy/Harness era) SQUAREPUSHER - newish
And for guys like Plaid and Amon Tobin, it would be ''newish''... in other words, latest works have disapointed me, but they were great up 'till 2001, which is... newish.
In fact, very rarely do I like post-2001 albums as much... a decline in quality since then in my mind.

7\ - hmm... everything!! (well, i didn't like the very latest, Smojphace, but i don't care it's just one ep and that doesn't mean he's gone to shit now to me... : )
BoC - ah, screw you fucking hell!! they're all the fucking same and i don't fucking care for them : P *weee, gratuitous silly provocation : )*
Ae - my favourite are Amber, AeP and Confield... so i'd say rather old... but i love Confield though!! ' _' (haven't heard the latest, Draft 7.30...)
i'm not totally sure i like Incunabula as much as Amber, i've just heard Autriche which was good but not as Amber...
OK - let's say i like them in sinusoidal waves from ok to very good and back and loop! =D
µ-ziq - i've only heard very few by him, and what i've heard didn't grab my attention much anyway, so... N/A... sorry
>[] - maybe newer, except the latest, DYKS... and i think the next one will probably be one mixed bag... i don't know... Hard Normal Daddy was great, but i loved even more Music Is Rotted One Note and Go Plastic... very early, Burningn'n Tree, was good too... Big Loada was quite good.... though maybe MIRON and GP are less representative of Squarepusher's sound... or not... does that mean anything??!!? what? it was only one year between HND and MIRON °_° err, i'd say i like most of it so far. maybe, middle period?
i've been of a great help and very much clear i know. ^^

(by the way i do not absolutely positively hate boards of canada (proof is i still keep my geogaddi limited edition, i just do not listen to it anymore...) i just like bashing them : ))
now that i consider what i've written i think it's good! there is good in the good old times and there is good in the future, too!!
like in Junktion (if i remember)'s Alexander Graham Bell quote... 'when a door closes, another one opens'...
