you said the disk was meant for a dell computer which i
meant to be that its not a normal windows 2000 installation
disk, i.e. it has been created either for backup purposes or
to set up multiple computers to a single configuration.

They used to bios lock the disks so they would only work on
that manufacturers PC. I dunno if this will be the case but
you can always try and possibly fuck up your computer :D
