This I bought today (recieved today in the mail)... Mainly
because "Milkman" is on it (I already have the RDJ Album).

It's a nice little single.

Yes. I don't listen to it enough. (mainly because it's so
short). I wish some of the songs would be longer and more
detailed. They feel more like sketches than proper tracks.

But oh my, what wonderful sketches! :-)
I prefer this one to many full length albums by other
artists. Infact also to some of rdj's own full length
albums.

Beetles, in my garden, they come out when I ______ <--what's
he say?

Pfft. I'm only familiar with this EP because it's tacked
onto the end of my Richard D. James Album. To me, the tracks
from this EP and that LP are inseperable... whether it was
meant to be like that or not.

to me it sounds like:

"Beetles under my carpet, under my feet,
they come out when I eat"

i was hoping someone could tell me.
i think it might be "in the heat" but that makes little
sense.

"Beetles, under my carpet, under my feet, they come out in
the heat"

I believe thats how it goes. The two tracks with singing are
pretty cool, quite funny and well produced. Redruth Mix is
cool as well. It's just a bit too short and inconsequential.

Meh. Milkman got boring after the second listen. The other
tracks are far too short and pointless. However, the little
singy bit at the end about the vegetables is great.

i agree with corticalstim...

as for the ep...the while it might not be as good as rdj
album... it has a few of the best tracks he's ever made
imo... especially the E 18 Snare Rush mix of Girl/boy...

in keeping with the aphex twin theme,
do you suppose in the user profile gender field it should
say 'Boy' or 'Girl', rather than male/female?

Yeah.. i like it that RDJ can realese short EP's and albums
that are very short but still soo extremely good..

Many records these days are very long with very long
tracks.. it's like a "thing" that the good music have to be
long and deep and long and long..

that's why i love RDJ's come to daddy, Girl/Boy and RDJ
album.. short tracks and short albums but with really great
songs so it doesnt matter how short it is becouse i will
listen too it many times over and over again without getting
as bored as i can get from a really long album with really
long tracks.

the B sides are quality, but i think the Richard D. James
album benefits from not having them on it y'know.
