from the rest?

Since i've seen the video of find candace i don't really
like it. This is what i call insane

i don't really like the video either, but all the tracks, oh
yes!
for you it may all be the same but it just takes a couple of
listens,
(e.g. for me all boc stuff sounds the same since i can't be
arsed to put effort in listening to it) :)

i understand, and respect. i try to understand, that is. So
that's why i'm asking, how is it different from the rest?

well imo the beatwork is more well constructed than on for
instance doll doll doll, esp. the end of doll3x is a little
over the top imo..it gets a little too hard, find candace
doesn't cross that line..
and the tracks are more 'serious' than on for instance
higgins (with dance like you're selling nails) or the
chocolate wheelchair album, which i like too, but not as
much as find candace

it's hard to explain really, it'd be the same if i'd ask
you; why do you like this boc track more than that one..
it'd probably be because of the melody,
here it's merely the beats

I've had this release for a couple of months now. But i feel
like i still have to get "into" it.

I actually really liked that video (well... it wasn't
exactly cheery or uplifting, but i thought it went really
well with the song!) which made me wanna get the cd... but i
dunno. I like the first 2 or 3 tracks, but after that i feel
like it's all starting to sound more or less the same. Which
probably just means i need to listen to it more often :-p

Witboas is still my favourite VS-album.

:) i didn't know you liked vsnares too.
oh and if you think track 4 to 7 sound more or less the same
you should really give it some more listens,
well one should be enough actually ;)

":) i didn't know you liked vsnares too."

Yeah... it's not like i'm a huge fan or anything... i only
have 3 of his releases :-p

I've also got Higgins Glue Funk Hits... but i don't really
like that one. For the most part it sounds like he just
wasn't trying very hard imo. Altough Banana Seat Girl is
probably/maybe my favourite VS-track :-) The ambient-ish
tracks are great too!

You know now how i feel about Candace, and witboas is just a
great album. The only track i don't like is the stupid
danzig-cover... i actually skip it most of the time :-o
But the rest of the album is awesome. Dad gives me
goosebumps. And stairs song, and sink snow angel, and and
and... well it's all good really :-)

yeah! i can't get enough of witboas either.. i think i
already made an 'official' release-discussion thread 'bout
that one :)

btw if you like witboas you'll probably gonna like the new
album he's gonna release in june 2004 too :D the samples
sound awesome imo!
they're in the discography section of www.planet-nu.com (the
snares - T.B.C. ziq088 one)

yeah i heard those. I can't believe we actually have to wait
six months for it :-p
Usually he releases 5 or 6 albums in such a timeperiod ;-)

But sounded nice, yes. I'll probably buy it once it's been
released.

I like Find Candace. Track 1 childkiller remix is mind
blowing, an absolutely wicked track. I don't who can't fail
to be blown away by track one. The rest I think takes more
time to appreciate but I like it.

I like Find candace, i think it has too little music and
"drums" thou.. could be a bit longer.

The song find candace is nasty as hell amazing track,
especially affter the chainsaw sample.

Yor has the most evil samples Aaron has created IMO

childkiller remix is nice.. at least the first half of it.

Childrens limbo has the sillyest intro i have ever heard and
i dont like it at all, but the melody is nice and the drums
are cool.

i think i like witboas better even thou i think it's
mixed/mastered kind of bad.

i have not got into songs about my cats yet but im going to
! im a cat lover myself, have 3 of them and theyre great
ones! really personal bastards

Once you learn that track 3 and 4 are actually the same
track... you will become aware that is the best
track. But a great album throughout, possibly my favourite
of his.

You mean 'Candace'. It's the name of a girl who was murdered
in Aaron's hometown.

Didn't know there was a video to Find Candace.

Quality ep. Doll Doll Doll is excellent also.
Thing is, stuff like 'Befriend a Childkiller': really good
tune, but for fuck sake, Venetian Snares is dark. Point made
(time and again).

Maybe I've missed the point (judging by DJ Xammax's last
post).

I had a massively vivid dream about meeting Aaron last
night. And it freaked me out. I dreamt i arranged one of his
gigs and he came on and played loads of meathole while
murdering random children and stuff. I used to like his
'dark' stuff but I'm listening to Dollmaker now and it
sounds so genuinely evil :/

Need to stick to his melancholy/crazy stuff atm I think...

Thx. I do like some of his latest albums, but I was a bit
dissapointed with "Nymphomatriarch". And still, I wasn't too
impressed with Chocolate Wheelchair, Horse & Goat,
Infolepsy, Huge Chrome Cylinder Box... and the Winnipeg
album. The new "Rossz..." album really stands out I think.

nice to have you here

out of those oyu mentioned I think chocolate and huge chrome
are really great pieces, but in some way I understand what
you say

I do also believe that 2001-2002 was (so far) his best time
(doll, doll doll, witboas)
