one way to get these kinds of movies on dvd is to go to a local chinatown, if you live near a large city. i found battle royal six months before it was released globally.
and hero is amazing, resemblance to crouching tiger notwithstanding. probably the best of this particular genre of martial arts movies (forgot the name, but crouching tiger is part as well, hence the overall resemblance).

i just finished watching musa...and it's another great film - i liked hero more tho.
the last scene (it was a battle lasting for some 20 minutes) was way too long, too much blood and it was too much focused on fighting imo...though it is an war film heh.
i'll definitely watch it again, actually i enjoyed it so much im going to watch hero again now :)

i liked hero... but it was a little dissapointing for me becuase i didn't quite agree with the moral of the story
Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung were excelent as usual... I cant wait for Wong Kar Wai's 2046 to be released.

they over dramatized in musa, it kind of turned me off, but it is nicely done
and it is based on fairy tales as hero or crounching tigerhidden dragon...its more like an chinese version of gladiator :)
way better ofcourse haha

it should be released fairly soon, very little is known about it though and its been in production for over 5 years i think. Its kind of a sci-fi sequal to In The Mood For Love.

yes, the moral is a bit distubing, all the self sacrifice, it's pretty propaganda, apparantly the chinese government funded
absolutely beautiful though dont forget to mention the swords sounding, though i doubt wether those sounds are too realistic (yes i know you cant fight on a lake either)
just out here for two weeks
