TILL PHOBIAZERO

Matte from Sverige on 2001-11-23 13:36 [#00054928]

" Eller ta Aphex Twin. Alla vet ju att hans musik låter som
den gör för
att han ständigt är haschpåtänd. Men alla vi som
inte är påtända tycker ju det
är outhärdligt när tiden bara går och ingenting
alls händer i musiken. Hans
låtar är så stillastående att flugsurr framstår
som rena Prince-röjet om man
jämför."

Ur Göteborgsposten -94 nångång..

;-(

.......?

Henry from Sweden on 2001-11-23 15:36 [#00054967]

Little translation:

... or Aphex Twin for example. Everyone knows that his music
sounds like it does because he's under the influence of
hasch all the time. But all we who are not on hasch think
its so boring and nothing happens in his music. His music is
so boring that the sounds from a fly sound like a groovey
prince tune, if you compare.

- From "Gothenburg Post" (swedish mag) '94

Hehe... suckers :)

Chrispy from UK on 2001-11-23 15:48 [#00054977]

bollocks.... I hardly smoke at all

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2001-11-23 15:51 [#00054978]

WOW!!! That was before ICBYD, but still, he wasn't THAT bad.

Henry from Sweden on 2001-11-23 15:53 [#00054980]

by the Way, richard says drugs is for relaxing, not music
making!

Chrispy from UK on 2001-11-23 15:58 [#00054982]

Thats cool coz alot of people here seem to think that taking
drugs helps them make music.... I dont understand that.

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2001-11-23 16:28 [#00054999]

It helped the Beatles, but THAT'S IT!!! Other people don't
have the same brilliant minds as them, so it has adverse
effects. Lennon and McCartney did everything right.

tom from toms shack on 2001-11-23 16:56 [#00055008]

i hate listening to music on drugs-makes me feel sick. you
can read a book and appreciate it, watch a film, walk around
a park & a gallery and appreciate it without drugs why not
music? jesus-if you need stimulants to appreciate the awe of
aphex you dont need drugs, you need ears.

right kids?

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2001-11-23 17:42 [#00055024]

My thoughts exactly, Tommy boy.

John john from Sweden on 2001-11-24 10:41 [#00055218]

Frothbottom from New York on 2001-11-24 18:51 [#00055259]

pot can help music, in small amounts. after a certain point,
it just becomes so tedious and difficult to do just about
anything.

I always have really happy melodies in my head whenever I'm
stoned.

FreakyNinoBrown from usass on 2001-11-24 22:33 [#00055293]

pot/drugs are fun when you are jamming, but on all the
computer music writing binges i went on was during severe
sobriety/insomnia..then i like to get high, go back, and
listen to the song and kiss my own ass because im so fucking
awesome

ross on 2001-11-24 22:47 [#00055296]

jamming is alright when high, but id never record music
under the influence..i love listening to aphex twin, floyd
and radiohead high
