Has anyone heard of this composer?

Apparently he was a total nutjob.

He thought he was God (well, Jesus... he said Jesus was just
a prophet, and he was the real savior), he thought that he
found the "Chord Of The Universe," and he wrote his music
based on color. He was planning a peice called The Universal
Symphony, that was going to be performed at a custom built
temple in India, which would last several days, and end with
these enormous bells ringing the Chord Of The Universe,
which would in effect, kill all of the evil people on earth

He had a cult following (like, literally a cult).

He died at like 40something, because he got a growth (not
sure... I think it was a tumor or something) on his lip, but
refused to have it removed, because he wouldnt let a doctor
touch his "sacred face"

yeah...

but anyways... he was kind of forgotten... but apparently
his works have been showing up more and more (he was
actually banned in russia, his home country... so thats why
alot of his works didnt show up until recently... most
noteable the Universal Symphony, because his daughter had
the score... and couldnt release it, until the Soviet Union
collapsed)

but yeah, its supposedly like, really amazing music. I want
to read more about this guy, and hear some of his music.

Interesting guy.

*note: he only got the opening movement of the universal
symphony completed... then he died

the suspenseful part that starts around 2:20 and leads you
into 3:00 - really cool stuff
