on the odd chance that someone cares... i get my first
crack at college radio tonight... i'm doing a fill in this
evening, and next week at the same time.... i'm supposed to
do eclectic, but the emphasis will be on more experimental
stuff... (not off your rocker experimental... i'm saving
that for when i get my own slot... just not pop styles)

unfortunately i am tied down to 35% canadian content... so
the set won't be as cool as i'd want it to be (because i'm
saving most of the wicked canadian stuff for when i get my
own show)....

in any event... run for an hour... from 11:00PM-12:00AM
Moutain time (Tha time)... less than 2 and a half hours from
now... if you're interested in hearing it online you can go
to http://www.cjsr.com
and click on the "Listen Live" icon on the bottom of the
left menu...

oh that reminds me, do you have to go to the u of a to get
on the radio? it's been sort of like a dream or goal for me
to get a slot (even a one time deal) on the station - i was
just wondering what i'd have to do to get that?

not at all... you just have to volunteer for and sell your
soul to them until the improbable occurrence that someone
else gives up a spot... Daryl said my demo show i did for
him was one of the best he ever heard, but i still probably
won't be able to land a strictly experimental electronic
show for a few months...

demo show, eh? whaddya mean? just record a sort of mock
show? like what you'd play and say and stuff?

that doesn't sound so hard :)

hard to get a spot...

well... back from that...

here's what i played this evening:

Sunburned Hand of Man- "Always Correct"
Polmo Polpo- "Romeo Heart"
Deerhoof- "Apple Bomb"
Venetian Snares- "Einstein-Rosen Bridge"
Yusef Lateef- "Metaphore"
Kinski/Acid Mothers Temple- It's Good To Hear Your Voice"
Sebutones- "Go Back"
The Books- "Don't Even Sing About It"
Ammoncontact- "Segal (Daedelus and my crew ran remix)"
Lithops- "Self-Stencil"

... i was a little sloppy presentationwise... but no major
errors... so it was pretty cool
