If by "goodies" you mean autographed dirty socks with
"colony" written on the heal, as I assume you do, I am
so there! I'm listening to frederick chopin, the 2nd
track on one obscure cd... it's great. And best of all it
hasn't been disrespected by any modern advertisors using it
in their commercials. See, you... "IDM"... gods, think
you're doing the world a positive thing by creating
beautiful music... but we don't realize that it will just be
used in commercials to sell super clorox bleach X, 1000
years in the future when you are dead and the copyright is
no longer valid. the mainstream music industry shuns the
most creative musicians because they're just waiting until
they die so they can profit from the music without paying
the artists any money or recognition when they are alive.
Yeah, or something.

i hope so, i'd hate to think it'll never get recognition ...
bleach is better than nothing ...

and a publishing deal would be even better than that ...

how you doin anyways ? i would pass if offered one of my
socks btw i usually bin em when i eventually peel them off
at the gym cos i don't want them infecting my bag ; )

How am I doing... how am I doing... well, lately I've had
overwhelmingly negative feelings about a certain someone
that calls himself "qrter". Oh man, I downloaded some sort
of "commercial jingles" mp3 demo and laughed a good deal.
One is called "edbeck jingle demo 2003"...

"always lookin' for the best!
visit us
forget the re-e-esst!

forget the rest!

forget the rest!

Bobby's gourmet hamburgers!
Bobby's gourmet hamburge-e-ers!"

At least I don't know where any bobby's gourmet hamburger
businesses are located, so I can actually enjoy the
commercial jingle without being infected with a subconscious
urge to buy their burgers... it might make me subconsciously
crave a mcdonald's burger or something though, which would
have an ironic negative effect on bobby's joint... but
that's good I think, boycott the businesses with the most
annoying music-disrespecting commercial jingles, that's what
I say. For example "home galleries" advertised about 27
times a day on Fox radio, ah ha ha ha ha! You should hear
that one. I made a new track that is in my typical modplug
tracker formula if you want to hear it.

oh no, you're misunderstanding Ian.. the jingle thing is a
new subject, it seems. Ian didn't use paragraphs, hence the
mixup.

he likes to harrass me for no obvious reason, which ofcourse
means he is secretely in love with me and in his own stunted
way is trying to tell me this.

Thanks for listening "colonymike". I know you are a sad
xltoniconian just pretending to be a member of the almighty
Crunch, but still it makes me feel delusionally good when
you pretend that you like the result of my primitive hunter
gatherer behavior that is modernized and domesticatingly
raped into the surrogate activity of making music, whoever
you are. As of learning that music is not a competition, I
hereby denounce my further participation in it. I know you
emailed me several times pleading me to join the colony
team, but I'm afraid I can't be on your label, despite your
many large compensational monetary offers, if there's the
slimmest chance, however remote, that qrter will be on it.

And why, qrter, does your name produce more search engine
matches in sentences with the word "gay" in them than every
other member put together? Sure, I wrote all of these
sentences, a point that is entirely cooincidental. The real
reason, the search engine data reveals, is that you are gay.
And the target of your desire, obviously me. And I am
flattered and reciprocal. I wish in fact to once again trade
eachother's alias for use in eachother's avatar as a symbol
of our reciprocal love.

i don't know what i'd do without you guys ... it keeps me
sane ... and puts one hell of a smile on my face ... it
seems you have seen thru my guise, i am indeed just another
sad
xltoniconian ... btw nobsmuggler can't you go out 2 nights
in a row like the rest of us then ? i'm goin to the
rephlex/planetµ too like most of my mates ... pity u won't
be making music now you found out it's not a competition wmw
... i forgot to mention tho that pop music is so maybe you
should try some vocal r+b ?? that's where the charts are ...

; )

so are you guys mates outside of xltronic then or is this
strictly an online thing ?

I have no friends outside of the make believe land of
xltronic. The fictional character "w M w" only exists
on xltronic in fact. I'm pretty sure w M w and the
real me share very little in common, though it's hard to
tell anything about the real me for sure... because when I
am here the portal to the real universe becomes hazy... and
memories don't easily pass through it. I wonder who I am
through that portal. And I wonder which version of myself is
fictional and which is real.

nobsmuggler- I recommend track 10 from crunch 1. This track
is phenomenal. Somehow (using soundforge apparently)
extremely organic shapes are created electronically so that
their data can be modified. And though I'm sure the data
must be quite large and complicated for one little liquidy
whisp sound in the liquid whisp symphony, crunch seems to
have no problem controlling the data to slowly mutate the
whisps from cherry to vanilla flavor over time whilst
juggling an eerie melody in the background amongst
everything else that was too intricate for me to remember
without presently hearing the track.

All I have heard is crunch 1 and crunch 2... I definately
want to hear this... but don't even have a record player,
let alone a "10 inch" player, whatever those are... I really
doubt soulseek (a file sharing program if you don't know)
would turn up mp3 matches for this, and besides I have no cd
burner on this crappy computer I'm using. When did you
release this because I don't think I've heard of it.

Boy.Rek sounds familiar, it might have been on the laurel
ep? (I have the laurel ep too but the entire thing is
included in crunch 2) I don't often pay attention to a
track's name.
I don't think I've ever heard of Karot or Lektropelar
though. If you really wanted to I guess you could host the
mp3's on a zebox site or something...? ...
