Yes, I was planning to buy Gasper Noe's Irreversible but then I saw on The Movie Show that the OFLC is considering whether to ban it. I put it in my Amazon shopping cart about a month ago, and planned to check it out before I go away at Christmas (so I can come back to something I actually like). well i did watch this movie.....and i as underwhelmed to say the least. the best part of the movie was the SOUNDTRACK which stayed with me for days.......it was truly creepy. i did FF through SOME scenes in this movie....so i did see them but too fast for them to AFFECT me in a long term way. i also watched irreversible (twas OK) i mean what was the POINT of this movie????? anyhoo....best movie i saw this week was Kurosawa's "High and Low" WOWOWOOWOWWO........excellent....followed by a little known movie called "Man Bites Dog" these i HIGHLY recommend!!!! |
