This is some hot shit. I'm addicted to the song "Jezebel,"
but I've only started listening to him.

It was recorded in London and mixed in sheffield to make the
beats 'prominent' Look sharp! it's a cool hardcore british
album that'd rock antwhere.

Yeah, the beats are stripped down and fucking original.

I think it rocks where it's hip hop X 10! It's not 'breaks'
from yesteryear, it's not pseudo interlectual nonsense.
It's beats for the feet with direct lyrics. Most tracks are
crapply recorded for daytime listening but at 2am they rock!

Exactly the kind of guy I'd like to see remixed by AFX or
Squarepusher.

oh yeah. much better than anything in uk hip hop...i'd like
instrumentals, cause voices are always distracting me

Just how much UK hip hop do you know about? He's good but
there are plenty of other UK hiphop artists who are
good...sadly though just as it looked as though UK hiphop
was finally finding it's feet the media latched onto garage
:(

Two words - Robbie Williams

Did you hear that hot shit rapping he did in his duet with
that biatch Kylie? Man that was some bad ass rappin' that
would make Dizzee Rascal and Roots Manuva shit their pants
in FUCKING unisan man!

I can't make out a fucking word he's saying! That might be
because i'm norwegian, and not exposed to such heavy british
(or whatever) dialect he's got. The beats are good, but i'd
like to know if he's a lyricist as well.

He has a really cool voice and the Basement Jaxx track
"Lucky Star" is the best track of 2003.

yeah its really growing on me, really high energy and not
even slgihtly pretentious

i'd read it was mixed in sheffield, i'm guessing at steel
city studios or something?

Honestly though, (annoying) vocals aside... the music sounds
thrown-together-in-five-minutes-using-fruityloops-default-s
like some ounds-shite.

It makes it worse knowing there are literally thousands of
Dizzee Rascals spread across any poor parts of England as
well.

ARGH,

completely unremarkable artist and teeth-grindingly
overrated.

bullshit, its good fun danceable music.....way better in
many ways than the music that a lot of people on here rave
about

it's punkish electronic production. raw, stripped down, and
pure energy and emotion. there are producers out there
channeling the spirits of the stooges and mc5 in electronic
music and honestly that's a whole lot more exciting than
when some babyfaced new york city rocker does it.

It's actually really rewarding.

See [#00933720] for further details.

I suppose I missed the 'IMO' off the end of my post again.
Maybe a ':P' wouldn't have gone amiss either.
